So I currently work as a CNA at a nursing rehab center, and I don't like it. I don't hate it but sometimes the workload can stress me out so much that I dread going back. Sometimes I have up to 18 people and I know I just can't quit on the spot but I try my best to get everything done. I also don't like how the residents get very demanding and catch an attitude with me when something doesn't go right. I am only 1 person and it's hard to attend to all of them when they are so demanding. I can't stand it. There are some days where I have good coworkers and a good assignment, and the day is good. However, it's not like that every time. It's hard for me to remain positive when the job is going bad. Now I'm in nursing school and so far so good but I am worried that I'll feel the same way if I start working as an RN. I also feel like I won't like the Med Surg setting, I feel like it'll be so stressful for me and I don't like working under so much pressure. I want to work in a setting where you can plan out your day and go accordingly. For example, I could never work in the ER, I wouldn't even think about it lol. But I work best in a cool calm environment instead of fast paste where I get so nervous I can't think right Ugh I don't know, and I am scared to even admit that nursing isn't right for me. Maybe I just need to have tough skin idk. If someone can please help me with this before its too late :(
