Hey Vanessa, I’d say call your advisor, we found out that the advisor she was working with no longer works there, that’s why we weren’t getting any responses back. She had to start working with a different advisor. The issue she had was something that will never make sense to me but she just did what the advisor told her to do. Having a language degree is not a common candidate in this program, they weren’t sure how to give her credit from how I understood it. The advisor told her to send her HS transcript so this issue can get fixed ASAP.

This past Monday we had talked to an advisor.

After we solved our issue, the advisor told us that we will find out this week. 30th of October.

Well, this is unfortunate for my wife but hopefully it gets corrected ASAP and it doesn’t prevent her from getting in, she just found out from her advisor that she doesn’t have foreign language. We were both looking at each other after reading the email and shook our heads. My wife has an associates in sign language from Del Mar. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing because she followed every step to ensure her application was good. Seems someone just overlooked the application, IDK.

We’re still waiting, haven’t heard anything yet.

My wife applied for Spring 2021. I am trying to recall what her scores are but I think her HESI score is between 86-88. Her overall GPA is between 3.5-3.6. We’re nervous about the program but more nervous for our kids because it will be a big change for them.

I applaud you for working through it, I can only imagine how challenging and grueling it is. I am assuming you just take it one day at a time?

? hmm. That’s more of a relief. Would definitely need to save plenty of vacation and sick days to make this work.. lol. My work is pretty flexible which is a good thing, would just need to plan accordingly and prepare the calendar to stay extremely organized. Little at a time I will be completing my prerequisites for the program, already have a bach in business so that helps. Hoping to get a nursing degree before I am 37. thank you for your response. ?
