Hey guys and girls! I would really appreciate it if anyone had any info from personal experiences or maybe just some knowledge of this situation because I can't seem to find anyone who has been in the predicament I'm in. I graduated with my RN last month. Applied for my ATT and received an email from the compliance department, saying I needed to write explanations for two minor misdemeanor charges I forgot to disclose from 2006. One was an underage possession of alcohol charge. One was a drug paraphernalia charge that was reduced (awesome friend hid a pipe under my back seat and refused to admit it was his when the cop found it). Only other blemish on my criminal record, and the one I did disclose, was an OVI (DUI in Ohio) from 2017. No excuse there, just a really stupid move. Anyway, the compliance department emailed me back a few days later and said I would be allowed to take the NCLEX but they wanted me to take a chemical dependency evaluation. Now...I have no idea what that entails. I assumed it would be a standard UA drug test and just learned today that it's much more than that and that this could be a long process. I took and passed NCLEX this past Saturday (thank you Pearson Quick Results) but 5 days later no email and no license when I search the state's website. My friends all got theirs within 1-2 days. Tried to find info on whether I will be issued my license and have to then do this chemical dependency evaluation, or if that will come first before the license is issued (I'm fearing that will be the case.) I was told 9/20 I'd receive a letter in the mail about it. Never did. Called and emailed the Ohio BON, can't get a reply or a human being to answer the phone. The drug test is of no concern to me, I will have no issue passing. I do however have a conditional job offer pending and without a license in hand before 11/15, that offer will disappear. So now I'm panicking. And I would greatly, incredibly appreciate any info any of you might be able to give me about what I'm looking at here. I have no idea how long this all might take but if its longer than 36 days, I lose out on a really awesome job opportunity and that will be soul crushing...
