  1. Hello, Please, if you don't mind sharing, on what grounds did the manager agree to recommend a waiver? Did you find any skills/knowledge/experience you learnt in Peri-Op transferable to your new position? Do you mind sharing the position? Thank you
  2. Hello, I just accepted a nurse residency position in the OR but I haven't started yet. Do you mind sharing why you wished you had gotten out earlier? Thank you.
  3. Did you take it in your state or did you have to take it in CA? I will graduate in May2022. Based on your experience, when do you think I should start in order to test right after graduation? Also, do you mind posting the correct website link you used for the process...I found multiple. Thank you
  4. Hi Cookie, do you still have this FB group? I am trying to get an invite in order to get things like old textbooks, test banks, etc. Can you invite me please?
  5. Great info, thanks. Is anyone interested in carpooling (if living in same area)? I live in Shadow Creek, Pearland...
  6. Sounds like a good idea but I do not know how to start the group. I can join if one is made,
  7. Oh gosh! I am sorry to hear that? So do you know if ACC has Patho in their program?
  8. Did you eventually do the online Patho? Can you suggest the professor you like etc, please? I think I will do it next Summer, I saw that they have one in the fall but I do not know that I can do it then.
  9. Omaa TheBethari Akonobi is my FB name. Please, can you add me to the group. Thanks
  10. CONGRATS to all who got in to ACC and other schools as well as those on wait lists. For my fellow applicants, do not worry. Just make like Johnny Walker and keep walking (on). Good job! Is that a good score? I assume a C or better is what is needed?
  11. Hi, I hope you did well on your Pharm. Where did you take yours?
  12. I just received an acceptance email. OMG! Good luck to those still waiting and well wishes!!
  13. I have not heard anything yet. Are they responding to personal email address or to ACC email address?
  14. Will they accept it? I thought they said they would only accept the courses that were submitted/completed at time of application?
  15. Not that I know of. Hi, Are you still doing nursing textbook/test/study guides giveaways? Unfortunately, I do not have FB (or any other social media).
  16. Hi, Are you still doing nursing textbook/test/study guides giveaways? Unfortunately, I do not have FB (or any other social media).
  17. OK thanks. It was OK. The cost breakdown was still expensive but more doable. I think God will make the decision for me. Hope everyone is holding up during this waiting.
  18. Hello all, I have heard that some schools will allow students to take the LVN challenge exams after their first semester in a nursing program. Does anyone know if this is true for ACC ADN and what the process is like? I am currently a CNA if that helps.
  19. Sounds like you are leaning towards Chamberlain? To be honest, after I speak to the counselor tommorow and I like the price/scholarship options, I may end up there. I would love to go straight for my BSN vs the longer ADN track but I understand that life happens. They also seem to have a solid simulation clinic and from what I heard during the ACC applicant meeting, the State of Texas is requiring simulations more due to lack of clinical sites. Do you have any suggestions for me for what questions to ask tomorrow?
  20. I am not. I will apply and see. Based on what was posted, the 6 week class is in June. I hope we can still get credit for it. By the way, I called Chamberlain again. I saw reviews about how rude they can be and experienced it first hand when I mentioned that I have a BS from my country as well as college credits here. The lady refused to schedule an appointment with counselor unless I was a US community college graduate at least! When she rudely hung up, I called someone else who said she already had both my transcripts and instantly scheduled an appointment. Basically, what I am saying is that there will be horrible people trying to stand in the way of this goal of ours. PLEASE let us swallow our pride so we can get to our destination and leave those people behind.
  21. I pasted the link and it says "hidden".

  23. It's a good idea to collaborate. I would love to take the 6week ones and be done with it. I understand your not wanting to deal with bad reviewed professors...one of my last Professors made me cry daily till a faculty meeting had to be called. Depending on what the review is about, I could decide to just "suffer" for the 6 weeks, knowing that I will never see them during or ever again after. Please do you mind posting specific links to the classes? Maybe to the reviews too?
