Hey guys, I failed the first attempt and passed the second attempt. Here's what's important about the exam. 1. The test is very in-depth and it is nothing like the questions you are familiar with in textbooks. 2. It is not a knowledge test, but an application test. No matter how knowledgeable you are doesn't not guarantee passing. 3. Check out updated theories. Rationales continue to change overtime. 4. Don't overthink. You are likely to choose wrong answers. 5. A course may help, but I am not certain how helpful it could be. 6. Don't study and memorize content mechanically. Put yourself in practical settings, instead. English is not my first language and I did it. You guys can do it, too. Thank you! Congratulations Shay! Now, relax and listen to BTS.

Congratulations! I passed too. It was a long wait..... Oddly enough, I got the result at 5 30 pm.

The test questions are way more in-depth and confusing than textbooks. I think it is not about what you study with, but about how you study.

The CNO says withdrawing will not affect the result I heard.

That doesn't make sense. I already took the exam and I don't think withdrawing the third window would delay the test for the second batch since I had already taken it.(I didn't even proceed to pay)

Does anybody know why the site asked me to pay 74 dollars when I tried to pay for the third window(I am not sure if that was how the trick worked)? Isn't it supposed to be 250 dollars to take the exam?

Based on what I heard, not many people are certain whether they would pass CPNRE. Whoever pass or fail would feel the same until they get the result, according to those who passed or failed.

Usually the passing mark is between 120-125, depending on the exam. So, if you have 15 wrong answers as you mentioned, you would pass. Don't worry too much.

Each test was so different in terms of its content. I took a course for the second exam, but it wasn't helpful.(The instructor was not a native speaker and therefore had inaccurate English and the materials she provided were disorganized.) Honestly, it was only 20 percent helpful. I could still fail the second attempt. The prep guide was not that useful for both cases. It just gives you some ideas and the actual test was way more in-depth. It tests your knowledge and application and you should know them exactly the way they want you to. I also used NCLEX-PN saunders and it was more helpful than the prep guide, but still, the test questions were trickier than those of the textbook. I studied a lot. I feel that you need to understand the materials and apply them into clinical settings well, rather than taking a course or studying mechanically.

Judging from my experience, those who pass will get the result around 10 a.m. and those who fail will get it around 1 p.m. on any day.

But usually, if you get a passing mark overall, then you are likely to pass as that is how the exam is designed. For example, some questions ask you foundation of nursing and professional knowledge at the same time. That way, you could pass.

No it isn't. The Yardstick site says it is predetermined.

It is predetermined and each exam has a different passing mark.
