  1. I think we should all stop the panic messaging. Haven't heard back yet and was directly told by UM applications would continue to be reviewed for months.
  2. Heard back last Friday they finally got my employment verification and that application to be reviewed. Apparently over700 people applied. Lots to sort through I am sure.
  3. Hi there! So all that I have heard from them was that my app was received (back around October 2025), and just last week that I had to resubmit my employment verification form. I have heard they prioritize Jackson nurses first. Let's see. I am sure they will come in waves.
  4. Good luck everyone! I heard interviews are starting next week. Who has gotten an interview email? Praying ??
  5. Hi all, I've come across a few posts on the above and wanted to inquire more here about benefits of having a dual FNP and CRNA certification. Any others who have done this and are happy they have both? I am planning to start an online FNP program in the Fall solely with the intent of becoming a CRNA in the future and I know so many would be like, why, or are generally enthused with this path! So currently, I have 2 years of ICU experience (4 years of nursing total), I plan on working full time in the ICU while going to FNP school, obtaining additional years of ICU experience and necessary critical care certs (CCRN testing Aug 20, and possibly SCRN and CMC in the future-alphabet soup never hurts), and retaking a chemistry course the semester I apply. Also, for those that say just go straight to CRNA, and forget FNP, my response is this: I'm a few years away personally and financially from applying to CRNA, am 32 years old, so thought why not knock out an MSN and remain in school mode? Plus some grad course work never hurts, in my opinion. With that said and as far as future goals are concerned, I've thought about working in outpatient pain management either on the side as a CRNA or as part of my career and thought having an FNP couldn't hurt, plus I like the scope of practice and educational path it entails. Additionally, I thought it would make me a different/more well rounded candidate for schools, assuming of course I've met all the other CRNA requirements and remain working full time in the ICU up until I apply for CRNA. Plus having back up plans is something that is very attractive to me! Now....thoughts LOL
  6. Done! It's still a shell for now, but if you go on FB and search "UWF FNP Class of Fall 2026" you should be able to find and join. Keeping it private for now.
  7. Does anyone know if there is a FB cohort group we can join or create? I believe we would be graduating Fall 2026 if I've read everything correctly.
  8. Yesss! Found out yesterday as well. Good luck everyone.
  9. Yes! I heard back from my enrollment counselor and she said it will take admissions about a week to push out decisions. So we should be finding out very soon! They just closed off the portal for new applicants July 5.
  10. Hi! I applied as well this week and hoping to start for this Fall 2024 cohort. How soon did you hear back after applying?
  11. Hi! I thought I'd start a thread for those that have applied or have accepted a nurse residency position at Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale for this upcoming 2021 cohort. I was recently accepted into the CVIMC for nights and wanted to hear from others that are starting as well or who have been through their program in the past. I'm starting February 16 (contingent on passing NCLEX on Feb 5), and was told I would be joining the current cohort that started in January. Look forward to getting to know you all! I'm a second degree BSN grad and just completed 7 weeks on a med/surg ICU stepdown and loved it! This is my first time working solely with Cardiac patients. I'm beyond excited but also have those new grad nerves, and sure I am not alone! So for any current or non-Holy Cross Health/Trinity Health Employees, any new grad RN or Cardiac Step Down advice is much appreciated!
  12. Hi! I haven't seen any recent comments to this thread in awhile and wanted to reach out to see who has been admitted for the Spring 2020 cohort. I just found out I was accepted last week! If anyone is up to joining a FB group or something, I'm all for it.
