  1. Any psych NP's out there doing psychotherapy?

    Hello, I am a psych NP and I currently work full time at a clinic doing med management. My absolute dream is to save enough money to start my own small practice where I can practice with my patients how I want to. I would love to be able to provide psychotherapy and med management, however the education I got in my NP program was very, very light and I don't feel comfortable without doing some more education and training. I'm wondering if any psych NP's out there do psychotherapy and how they went about learning it (as it is my understanding most psych NP programs primarily prepare you for med management). Also does anyone have their own practice and have this model that is able to give me insight into reimbursement rates etc? Thanks in advance!
