  1. Congrats on your acceptance! As for housing I would say that Mission Hill is on the "cheaper" side but still safe and close to campus. It's also pretty close to some of the clinical sites and it's on the T/ bus route. Otherwise, looking at where the T/ bus goes to get you toward campus while being a bit farther outside the city definitely makes it cheaper! Once you have your northeastern email, you can use their online housing/ roommate database which is what I did to find somewhere affordable and still close to campus. Financially, it's kind of rough. There's a few scholarships they'll start to send out throughout the Summer/ once you're in the program, but honestly, it's pretty empty going through Northeastern in my experience. There also aren't any TA opportunities or assistantships that I've heard of yet. There's definitely a LOT of clinical assistant positions/ medical entry level jobs in Boston since there's a zillion hospitals around. I would say like a third to half of the students in our cohort are working at least a little bit, but it's definitely hard with our schedule. I would highly recommend looking for outside scholarships or even talking with your financial aid counselor about different options. If you have any other questions feel free to dm me and I can shoot you my email!
  2. I don't think anyone has! Also I think sue forgot to BCC on one of the emails about the nurse corp scholarships so we could definitely get the word out via email ?
  3. I'm moving from Minnesota and definitely nervous about finding an apt and just moving across the country mid pandemic in general. Antsy to get financial aid stuff and classmate's emails from sue!!
  4. Does anyone know if there's an admitted students facebook page or anything like that? I'll be attending NE in the fall for the pediatric NP track!
  5. I just gave up my spot for the pediatric DNP program to attend Northeastern! Best of luck to everyone on the waitlist.
  6. I just turned down my offer, so hopefully this helps the waitlist!
  7. I'm likely going to give up my spot on the pediatric DNP route to go to Northeastern ? hopefully it helps y'all on the waitlist!
  8. Hi Erin! I was accepted for the pediatric track. GPA ~3.7 GRE 157V/158Q and a 5W EMT certification, worked at my college for 3 years as an EMT. Worked as a nurse assistant at a summer camp for individuals with disabilities for a summer.
  9. https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/schools/cson/academics/DNP-program/DNP-program/direct-entry-dnp.html at the bottom of this page there's the projected courses/ timeline ?
  10. Accepted for pediatric NP in the DNP program! anyone have any idea when we hear about financial aid/ scholarships? Definitely getting nervous about cost
  11. Hi y'all! I've been MIA (abroad during January), but I have updates! So originally I had submitted my app for NNP, and I heard back that they didn't think it was specific enough toward neonatal, but they gave me the opportunity to change my specialty. Switched to pediatric, and I heard back like 3 days later that I had a phone interview! Just finished the interview with Marketa (lovely lady!), and I think it went really well. Some basic questions like why advanced practice, tell me about yourself, and then it was really open to questions that I had which directed the conversation from thereon. Said I would hear back soon! Best of luck to everyone waiting to hear still/ on interviews!!!
  12. I also recieved my acceptance today! So excited!! Now I'm just waiting to hear back from Boston College and Northeastern. What's the name of the fb group? I also couldn't find the fall 2020 one soo happy for you! I also felt so down on Friday, but now we're both accepted! Great holiday presents for sure ?
  13. I applied early November/ late october, and my letters of rec were probably in around November 10th. Got the update about my application being under review via email around December 4th, and my acceptance letter was postmarked for December 13th!
  14. I'm still waiting to hear back from some other schools so I'm not positive, but if I don't hear back from them around the new year, I'll accept! I'll be abroad all of January so I don't want to risk losing my place ?
  15. I just got my decision today!! Accepted to the Athens campus :)!!
  16. Just got my acceptance for the Athens campus!! Snail mail ?
  17. I hope so too! My last name is at the end of the alphabet (however so is the boy who got in from my school!). Hopeful for batches for both of us ?
  18. Ohhh. Thinking my odds are bad as someone else from my small school was accepted to JHU. Bummed but all's well. Luck to y'all ?
  19. I was peaking at last year's thread and it looks like people talked about their acceptances from the 20th-22nd, but that also could just be when they checked their email/ went on all nurses
  20. Congrats to everyone who heard!!! Fingers crossed for the rest of us who haven't yet ?
  21. Ugh I FEEL THIS I am still compulsively checking my email.... my Emory acceptance wasn't sent until 5:20 so I hold on hope that it could still be within the next hour? Otherwise definitely not until at least Monday ?
