Can IV dilaudid and zofran be administered back to back? I've read in a few online resources that they could interact to potentiate drowsiness/dizziness/etc with serotonin syndrome being the worst adverse effect. Experienced nurses, would you administer these meds together in common practice? Stagger them? Choose another antiemetic? Thanks in advance for your opinion!
Quick question about pain relief in hospice and end-of-life care. If a pt has been managing pain on hospice with oral morphine and eventually loses appetite or swallow enough to no longer tolerate PO intake, what is the typical standard of practice for pain control? IV insertion? Interested in hearing stories & opinions. Thanks!
@Sour Lemon Thanks for the input! There was nothing urgent that happened over shift, but being new I just feel terrible about forgetting anything. A mistake I don't see myself making again in the future.
Hey all, On new grad orientation and realized two days after a shift, I think I did not submit care plan documentation/progress notes on a pt. I'm feeling terrible about this. How bad is this? Should I reach out to my ANM? Thanks in advance.
