  1. All of my credentials are valid. And as far as I'm concerned, we took the same exam to be licensed. But I do applaud your straight path. So far in my career as a Clinical Educator/ consultant, I've not been at the mercy of large application pools or luck but I'm glad you beat the odds with your credentials. I've learned after 14 yrs in healthcare, that the accredited school bedside RN is no more capable than the approved school bedside RN and typically able to be hired at Magnet hospitals once enrolled in a BSN program. I encourage everyone to follow their path. Continued success to you at your institution ?
  2. Yes indeed! I haven't read all of the comments on this thread but can appreciate when folks recognize that there is more than one path to becoming an RN and sustaining a career. To each their own = )
  3. Ma'am/ Sir, I'm amused at how confidently you speak on someone else's career path. Although I can appreciate the time it's taken you to write this summary, I encourage aspiring RNs to do their due diligence in vetting any program before committing; and to have a clear vision of your end goal. Obtaining an ADN is only the beginning. Once licensed the doors and opportunities are abundant. Lets spend less time debating on the internet friends. For aspiring educators wondering I got my start teaching CNAs, LPNs in my states community college. I've taught as a clinical educator in training/development at major metro hospitals as well. Good luck to everyone. You can do anything you put your mind to and form many relationships within healthcare & this I don't think, I know. Lastly there are so many RN to MSN programs... thanks for your input.
  4. if the purpose of your post is to bring awareness to those seeking information I think you’ve accomplished that with very valid points. If the program doesn’t suit your needs, that’s fine, there are plenty schools in FL and elsewhere
  5. I agree 100%. This has been my experience. To potential students: I would also add that being aware of YOUR career goals, YOUR learning style preference and YOUR educational goals will help tremendously in identifying what program works for you. I’m not online to dispel details pertaining to this program but I am happy to share my successful experience via private message. Good luck to everyone in their nursing education!
  6. The program is OK. I’m not a complainer, I just want to be in and out! I think the work is fair and the teachers are very knowledgeable. It’s really up to you and that goes with anything. Some students have had issues with being able to contact the school in a timely manner but so far I haven’t had any issues worth stressing about. LOL
  7. Right! But all schools secure payment before starting. this is just out of pocket so you feel it! LOL. Good luck!
  8. I started in February. There is no financial aid, I pay out of pocket on a payment plan. There is an exit exam.
  9. It’s Approved meaning you can sit for your RN NCLEX. My lpn program was also approved and I sat for my boards with no issues. I think that choosing an accredited vs approved program comes down to your career goals. I don’t work at the bedside or in a patient care setting and after this program I plan to attend a RN to MSN program to go into nursing education/public community health. So for me the RN licenses is my priority. Not so much the credits to transfer etc. clinical has not yet started for me. I start clinical rotation in August. But it’s what you were told. 1week a month etc. the test are fair. You have to study and we are required to do Uworld study bank questions which help prepare for exams and answering NCLEX style questions.
  10. I’m in the program. The program description is correct, I will be done in a few months. Although I am currently waiting to see how this will impact our clinical rotations. Otherwise, the program is good, you have to study independently and it’s pretty fast paced. Let me know if you have any specific questions
  11. Ok got it! So Now I’m curious because I’ve received emails from found path with a start date this fall. Are you enrolled with them currently?
  12. What’s the name of this school?
  13. Hi Chanel! Thank you for responding! Are you currently enrolled with intelligent- nursing or Found Path? I noticed MedLife was in Fort Lauderdale and Found path is in Miami. Did you start this fall? I will send you a private message
  14. https://www.foundpath.org/nursing-program-referrals Hey all, has anyone been enrolled in or completed a program with the above consulting company. They’re based out of Florida and seems to have the same blended online/ 1 weekend per month model as Med Life institute. I’ve yet to see anything online not reviews or comments. Please share if you’ve heard of them.
