  1. I am in my LAST SEMESTER OF NURSING SCHOOL! Counting down the minutes, hours, and days for sure. One of our last assignments is to create and research a "change project". This project is about how we can change and improve an area of nursing to positively help our patients. For example, some topics that have been done in the past are requiring nurses to wear color-coded scrubs to help identify their titles to being required to change in and out of scrubs like the OR to prevent transferring of bacteria into the community. Does anyone have any ideas whatsoever? I am still in the brainstorming stage and nothing has quite stood out to me yet.
  2. I am basically in search of some advice and pep talks. I started this semester learning that I am pregnant. I am in the last semester of my BSN program. I have found it very difficult to stay on top of my studying because the fatigue has just been so overwhelming. I just scored a 62% on my med-surge exam and we only have three more exams to go. I am required to have a 75% testing average and pulling myself out of this hole just seems next to impossible right now. I can't tell if it is my hormones, if I am just burnt out, or if this is a sign that I should wait and start fresh next semester (I will still be pregnant, not due until April). It is affecting my mental health and my relationship with my husband. I cry all of the time and dread my life whenever I wake up every morning. Should I attempt to power through and try to dig myself out of this hole? I generally get A's and B's in med-surge. This is the first time I have ever failed an exam. I am thinking about finishing my other two classes and then re-doing med-surge next semester when it is the only class I would have to focus on. What do you guys think? Has anyone ever been in this situation? Came back from a 62% with three exams?
