  1. Hey everyone, a little late but I got accepted as well! I'm trying to look at the checklist for new students, is anyone else having issues with myucf working?I graduated from UCF's BSN program a few years back so technically my account has been inactive, and I had to reset my NID password, but does anyone know if I need to get a new knights email/NID? Apparently we have to submit immunization forms, and the system is giving me a rough time ?
  2. Aw man! I had my mind set on early march for decisions so I am a little disappointed with having to wait for a couple more weeks ?
  3. Hello all! I am also applying for the AGACNP part-time program at UCF for 2024. I have a year of critical care experience. I did attend the information session back in November and they said that they get brand new BSN students as well as more experienced RNs so it boils down to a mixture of academic and work experience. Good luck to all of us here!
  4. Thank you for the quick response and amazing tips! I have some of my nursing professors and team members at work writing my letters so I am hoping that it will be enough. I rewrote my essay- in my opinion, my essay is genuine. It highlights my why, the DNP project, and my support system. I met with an advisor shortly after I got rejected and was told that my essay needed improvement and that I needed more experience, community involvement, and leadership involvement. I was also told that the letters of recommendation review depended on who was reviewing them since some faculty only look for the fact that the letters are there in the first place. So this kinda left me a bit defeated since it felt like I needed to do so much in order to be accepted. Although I completely understand since they only want the best of the best to be in the program.
  5. Hello! I am re-applying to UCF's Acute Care DNP program after being rejected last year. For everyone who got accepted to the program last year, do you have any tips for me on making my essay or CV stronger? It seems like the competition was especially tough for the last cohort. I would really appreciate any tips! I also would like to know the experience of everyone who applied! When I applied for the DNP track last year, I only had 6 months of ICU experience/ nursing experience as I was a new graduate. Is that what made my application weaker in your all's opinion?
  6. Congratulations! What were your Stats??
  7. That's great! Good luck to you too. Hope you get into your first choice!! ?
  8. Hoping decisions come out this weekend. Saturday is the 6th week mark. ??
  9. That makes me less anxious, thanks for the update!
  10. I feel like decisions will get delayed too. We can always email or call them to get the details. Hope everyone is safe and well!!
  11. Honestly same I picked Orlando as my first choice and Daytona as my second choice
  12. I was reading last year's forum for applicants, and the earliest they got any updates in terms of status change was at the 4th week mark. They got their official decisions at the 6th week mark. I'm really anxious too! it's officially the third week since the deadline, we're halfway there! ?
