Yes you can absolutely apply without them all completed. They will reach out and ask if you're taking them and give you a decision without them completed. Exactly what the other user said. I suggest only buying health assessment (an older edition). The rest of the books were not used at all.

I honestly love the program and the professors. They are definitely helpful. I don’t think it’s as bad as I anticipated but prepare to have no social life whatsoever. Clinicals have been stimulations online but they have found some spots for us in the next semester. This isn’t the best time for nursing school ? also, I would call or email admissions and ask if you can get into the traditional program with your letter grade. If you can, once you’re in you can pretty much transfer into the accelerated after a semester without a problem. Don’t get frustrated if you call and don’t hear back, they are working out what to do with returning classes to in person right now and nobody really is answering anyoneeeee

I can tell you as a third semester ABSN in this school that they are going to pick it up and tell you that you can’t start until you retake the class. Someone on this thread is going through this exact issue right now. They used to not be strict but it changed.

You don’t buy the kit through castle branch. Your first semester all you need is the scrubs from flynn ohara, a stethoscope and a np monitor. The castlebranch is for clinical clearance. You won’t do those until second semester. Make sure you call and make your schedule ASAP. Classes are almost full right now!

Clinicals are in second semester. I’m supposed to start in the Summer but with the virus they have simulated clinicals and labs right now. You don’t know where you are placed for clinicals until like a week before you go. It’s all at random.

The tuition not the deposit. There is a deadline to waive it. I’m not sure what it is because I waived it last year. The deadline is the same for everyone so I’m sure this can be Google. You do sign up for orientation. You will get an email for orientation about 2 weeks before class starts. For now just buy your uniform and kit for health assessment.

You will not have access to blackboard until after orientation or you pay the bill.

I can tell you both that you need the stuff in the health assessment kit for your first semester. Specifically the scrubs, the stethoscope and the bp cuff. Buy the scrubs ASAP as they take WEEKS to come in. All the information you need will be given to you at orientation. The student handbook is only accessible through blackboard AFTER orientation. First semester is 22grand if you get insurance through the school, 20 if not. All together the accelerated is roughly 70k. Don’t skip out on orientation.

They don’t do interviews! They send emails and then acceptance letters Definitely contact the admissions department

Two letters of recommendation. Transcript must be official, although you can email an unofficial to them while the official is in transit. The cost is roughly a little over 70 grand. Good luck!

You’re very welcome, please feel free to ask me any other questions. I applied in around January for fall but ended up pushing my admission date to this Jan! Going to be registering next Monday.

I just went over my own transcript and I had a few B’s. They aren’t too strict. I’m not too sure about if they contact everyone or the people they are considering. I was contacted by every school I applied to, and ultimately got into all of them. First they will let you know what you need to do to continue the application process (if you need to retake anything, they are strict about the sciences not being old) then they ask you your plans to fulfill the requirements and then usually they tell you if you got in. I had a very nice admissions counselor. The process was easy and they definitely help you along the way. Just make sure to send in all the required docs. Good luck!

I would apply in January for fall because they have rolling admissions so there are no deadlines. They will allow you in on a provisional basis. I had a similar issue. They also allow you to defer your start date to another semester if you aren’t ready which is very helpful. Just submit the online application, mail in all the required paperwork and an advisor will contact you within about a month. They will be able to answer all your questions!

It was actually a super easy process. They don’t require TEAS/any test for the accelerated. They don’t even want a personal statement. I did the application online and an advisor contacted me about a month later. They were pretty strict on the science courses being taken within the time frame so I had to retake chemistry. However, after I got my acceptance letter it’s been pretty much me trying to figure everything out on my own. I was between LIU and NYU and I’m hoping that I made the right pick but being unable to get a clear answer as to what I need to get done before I start has been such a pain!!

Has anyone else here been accepted into the ABSN at LIU Brooklyn for 2020? I was accepted but I’m having a difficult time figuring out my next steps because I wasn’t sent a welcome packet. Anyone having a similar experience?
