  1. A separate email. It took a couple of days for me to be able to use it.
  2. I did a portion online and then there is an actual class portion to get the certification. The class was blended, but I only had to stay through the first aid portion.
  3. Lol already here. The class is in 20 mins.
  4. If I search for first aid on red cross I get the option for adult and pediatric cpr/aed or adult crp/aed. I did bls for health professionals.
  5. There is one with pediatrics though and I wanted to be sure. And the only first aid courses I could find included CPR. It doesn't specify on UIW website though.
  6. I can not wait to buy my scrubs!
  7. So I accidentally applied for the adult only cpr/ first aid and just completed bls. Can't get Eunice on the phone and the class starts soon, so I hope it is sufficient.
  8. If this is the course that you need, which first aid class do you need? I thought the hybrid class would be alright, but now I'm confused.
  9. I had to retype it. It's 18, not I8
  10. Lol I don't want to email her again. I'll call.
  11. I have paid everything. I'll call, thank you.
  12. Has anyone emailed Eunice their intent to go to UIW? I have, but no response on her end.
  13. I'm doing mine through red cross on the 16th. Just have to get my tb test read on Wednesday. And a flu shot. Yeah. I think they were talking about how long the series for hep b takes. You should be fine, unless you need all three of them.
  14. Yays! I won't be the oldest hopefully. They told me October 15 at the interview, for immunizations.
  15. Congratulations you two!
  16. I got in!!!
  17. I heard nothing. Monday it is. Going to try to busy myself and try not to overthink it this weekend.
  18. Had my interview at 0830. I was of course very nervous, but it wasn't too bad. And they did confirm we'll know by Friday or Monday at the latest.
  19. I thought about an accelerated program, but I want to be able to spend time with my family as well, and my sister-in-law was still Ble to go out at times and workout, travel during breaks. I don't want to sacrifice all of my time with my baby and husband. All of those threads told me was that it was a personal interview and lasted about ten minutes. A couple of people seemed to have gotten acceptance letters very soon after their interviews as well. Someone out of state said they did a phone interview, but I only saw that in one thread. I'm still a nervous wreck! I just want to get it done and know. July 1st seemed so long ago.
  20. You're still pursuing your dreams. I am about to be 28, so I feel old to be starting a new program, but this is what I wanted to do in the first place, so I'm excited. She was a transfer, but did a few pre reqs at UIW before applying. She seemed to like it. She made friends and was also able to maintain a bit of a social life, so that's what got me interested. I want to be able to have family time as well. She was hired right out of the program too.
  21. Thank you! I hope so, I'm a very nervous person though. I wish the interview was tomorrow, so I could just get it over with. I'm assuming it's one on one, but I didn't ask. She just told me they do one every 15 minutes and I asked if I needed to bring anything, to which she said no. I've also seen some people just get in, but sometimes they want to know more about you before they decide. And great job on your GPAs. Very jealous, but trying not to compare because I know I haven't done that well. I'm doing online courses and at home with my toddler and it's challenging. I couldn't imagine doing all of my pre reqs with a baby; I did most of mine a long time ago.
  22. I don't know my gpas off the top of my head, but I got an 84.7 on my TEAS. I am also certified to work as a lab tech, which i did for a while before i had my daughter. Finishing my first BS next month. My sister-in- law graduated from this program in May and said that lots of the transfers in her class had interviews. They seem to be personal interviews according to previous allnurses threads. Nervous as hell, but hoping I'll do okay.
  23. Thank you! I'm so nervous! I hate interviews, but hopefully all goes well. Good luck to you as well!
  24. Finally, someone made a post for spring. I did my fingerprints about two weeks ago for UIW, and received a call today to schedule an interview for next week.
