@Lindsay Grace I just found out that I’m number 30 on the waitlist smh…I think being that low in the list shows they value grades a lot more than relevant work experience…I didn’t have the best undergrad grades but I had very good postgrad grades and 4-5 years of experience as a CNA but that still isn’t good enough somehow LOL…I doubt I’ll get in being that low on the list so I’m going to give up my spot on the list and go the community college route…honestly, it’s probably better for me anyway…hopefully me giving up my spot will better your chances

I reached out to Mrs. Penberthy and Mrs. Knowlton…hopefully one of them gets back to me before the deadline LOL…also, when I was waitlisted last year, I took a nutrition class through Portage Learning which satisfies WCU’s nutrition requirement. But I’m also from NC…I’m from just outside Raleigh but I’ve been traveling the last 2 years as a travel CNA and a travel medical assistant…I’m currently working in New Mexico

That’s good to know…I just reached out to them and asked for my number on the waitlist…hopefully they let me know before the deadline…I told them I would like to know so I can decide between a position on the waitlist or accepting entrance to the community college program that I already got accepted into…also, are you from North Carolina? If so, what part?

I heard back from Western Carolina last week and I got waitlisted again LOL…I’m not sure if I will accept a spot on the waitlist…I don’t like the idea of taking classes over the Summer and a spot not opening up for me in the program..I’ll most likely be going the community college route because of this but we’ll see…hopefully you guys had better luck than me and got accepted to the program

Hey mckenna-vivino! I also applied to Western Carolina’s ABSN program for Fall 2022…I got waitlisted last year unfortunately…hopefully I have better luck this go-around but I have little faith haha…I don’t have the best undergrad grades but I have a bunch of experience as a CNA but I feel like grades are weighted more…I also applied to Blue Ridge CC’s nursing program…and everyone I talked to there seems super nice and were super helpful…I’m honestly leaning towards Blue Ridge CC mostly because they have a program where you get your associates degree in 2 years, take the NCLEX, and in your third year you’re taking online BSN classes at Western Carolina while you work

Have you guys heard anything from NSCC yet? I know we're supposed to hear something by the 21st but we are getting pretty close to that date LOL

I haven't heard back yet...They told me we wouldn't hear anything until later on in March but it seems like that may not be the case haha...hopefully we all hear back relatively soon For those who have been accepted, did they send the email to your personal email?

I had my interview earlier this week...It wasn't anything too crazy...it was only about 15 mins and they asked me pretty generic questions...they said they are only accepting 35 students into the program and that we should know some time in March about decisions

Has anybody received an update about Fall 2021 admission? I received a couple emails from WCU but nothing definitive.
