  1. Hi! Don't know if you got any answers on this yet, but I thought I would respond anyways! I'm currently a level 3 and I believe that they stopped accepting CC transfers when I was accepted last Summer. This may have changed, but what I most recently heard is that they still don't:( I hope this helps!
  2. CONGRATS and good luck!!
  3. Yeah I could definitely see that! I was kinda thinking that too, but once they hopefully go back to normal in the Spring, they may have too many people. Like you said though, we will just have to wait and see:)
  4. Wait, does this mean they are letting more people in? I didn't think so, but I could be wrong!
  5. I did! I'm so nervous to see if we got in!
  6. Yeah thats what scares me. I think that there is something else that they look at, but they don't tell us or something. I just couldn't understand how people were getting in with lower scores in 2 of the three categories compared to others who didn't get in. I guess there must be some way they insert the numbers, but I don't know. I was trying to get a feel of how many people were on the alternate list because its going to be hard to have to wait 2 more months to get the results, but I guess it will hopefully be worth it in the end.
  7. Hi. Thank you so much for the information! Was this your first time applying? Honestly, I don't really understand the acceptance stuff as much as I thought I did. There are some people that had a really good gpa and a descent hesi score, but one would be slightly lower than the other persons and one would get in and the other wouldn't. I am still hopeful, but I hope that everything works out for you.
  8. Hello! I was placed on the alternate list for the GCU (Grand Canyon University) nursing program summer 2020. I was just curious if there is anyone in the program or that was on that list (past or present) that could give me some insight on what to expect. My counselor gave me some info, but it would be nice to hear about it from a students perspective too. Thanks ?
  9. I completely understand what you're saying! It's hard enough that we had to wait this 1 month to hear if we got in, now we have to wait another 2 months. Also unfortunate that we wont be able to plan. Like dropping a class will be hard because if you do get accepted, it wouldn't matter if you got a low grade, but if you don't then it will affect your gpa for next fall, and we wont knowing we got in till it's too late to drop a class. It sucks, but at least we are still getting the opportunity to be kept in mind. I believe in the process and will be praying for both of us ?
  10. I totally feel you on this!! I think that it is still a blessing that we are still being considered and not rejected, but you are right its just lot of unknown questions. How my counselor put it is if everyone passes level 1 this semester and just say there are 10 available seats and 10 people on the list, all will get in. So basically there is open seats still, they are just not filled and cant be till the end of the semester. So really, we still have a chance. Are you still going to remain an alternate?
  11. Hi! I was also placed as an alternate. I have a 3.5 gpa and an 88 hesi score. I was too unsure what that means so I am reaching out to my counselor to find out.
  12. Have you heard of anyone being placed on the alternate list?
  13. Do you know anyone else that applied?
  14. Congratulations! I got placed on the alternate list... So not really sure what that means for me.
  15. Hello! I was just wondering if anyone got accepted yet? Thanks and good luck!
