  1. We might need to band together and form a nursing student/mom support group! Haha.
  2. Hi! Congrats on getting accepted. Feel free to email me with your [email protected] and I can send a copy of a template schedule for this winter. My daughter is 2 and we are moving from the Okanagan and so are trying to sort out a daycare situation that will fit timing wise. I understand somewhat what you’re going through!
  3. Hi! Meant to post an update but have been busy. Was accepted off wait list last week! I hope you hear something soon if you are still waiting ?
  4. Congrats! Thanks! Yes from what I’ve been told they set the “bar” at 3.7 this year for degree holders, and it’s a matter of processing the rest of the applications to see how many spaces are still available. The faculty then decides what to drop the gpa to I think. So just a matter of waiting as they drop down the waitlists in chunks. It’ll be worth it, but a stressful waiting game!
  5. Does anyone have any success stories with being accepted off of the waitlist? I was notified yesterday. I applied with 3.6 to the degree holder route. I will be moving to Calgary from B.C. with my husband and 2 year old if I get into the program. Am getting super antsy to just know one way or the other as there are so many factors to sort out and not a ton of time!
  6. 30 level courses are grade 12 level of high school I believe. They call it 30 in Alberta.
  7. I got an update on my portal this morning saying applications will be evaluated mid Nov. Does anyone else have that message? Seems so late!
  8. No! Says application and documents have been received..will be evaluated in 2-4 weeks or something along those lines. Killing me!
  9. Jemeyer, did they give any additional info like how far down the wait list, when to expect to hear more etc?
  10. Same here! Tempted to call and ask but maybe it means they are processing it. Don’t want to pester. Or that we are going to be with waitlisted? My GPA is 3.63 I think.
  11. Congratulations! So exciting! Can I ask what your gpa was? Do they tell you in your acceptance? Patiently/not so patiently waiting to hear..
  12. I was told they are admitting 3.7 and higher right now but if there is space they will lower the GPA cutoff.
  13. Third week of August. My application still says incomplete so I guess they haven’t evaluated my transcripts yet. Anyone else hear anything yet?
  14. I have, for Degree Holder route -no word yet! Eagerly waiting..
  15. "The cutoff is currently at 3.7, and it may or may not move depending on the applicants that we have this year. If it is going to be moved, I would guess that it would be moved following September 30th or so, once our faculty and Admissions has had time to evaluate all of the applications. For now, students who are below 3.7 but close will be held on a waitlist. If there is room, students from the waitlist will be offered admission." I received that this morning from the Faculty of Nursing.
  16. Degree holder. I am not sure now! I emailed faculty of nursing to clarify. My understanding is the gpa is based off of the applicants for that intake, and they haven’t stated evaluating applications yet for 2020 so not sure where the 3.7 is from!
  17. I just spoke with Admissions and they are saying the GPA minimum is 3.7 for competitive entry for this January.. yikes is that high!! I will likely be a 3.6 after I finish up the A&P prereq.. fingers crossed for a wait list spot? So stressful.
