  1. Hello, this is my first post so I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong topic/thread. I will be graduating in December and intend to take my NCLEX soon thereafter. I would like to move to NYC by next year but I am concerned because I realize that the NYC metropolitan area is extremely competitive with a preference for BSN prepared nurses. Are my options limited towards facilities that are not located in the city? Would I be looking at primarily LTC/SNF if I were to move there? I don't have much insight seeing as I'm in another area and would appreciate any feedback from individuals who are familiar with the area and have potentially had similar experiences/difficulties. I currently have ACLS and BLS certifications and have been working as a scribe in an emergency setting for the last 4 years, not sure if that would potentially make a difference in the hiring process. I'm just trying not to make a decision I'll regret later. Thank you in advance.
