  1. Does anyone know how long it typically takes to get accepted into the program? I’ve submitted my passing TEAS scores, paramedic certificate and all other forms that needed sign off. Do they wait for your previous college credits to be reviewed before they accept you? Also, I have to finish my prerequisites (developmental psych, micro, and sociology). Does anyone have suggestions for the prerequisites i.e. taking accelerated 8 week courses through a community college or taking the uexcels/cleps? I looked into the sociology and developmental psych CLEP and they looked pretty straight forward and cheap.
  2. What are the Facebook groups called? I’d would like to link up with other medics to bounce ideas off and get advice from as I move through the program
  3. Thank you for the feedback! 1) Did you take the pre-requ courses via uexcels or your local CC? (micro, developmental psych, A&P)? I'm trying to figure out the quickest way to get to the actual nursing portion of the program. 2) When you started taking the initial nursing exams, did you register for the exams beforehand to force yourself into a deadline? How quickly can you progress through the program if you're focused and actually try to retain the information? 3) Have you been using third party vendors for your study material?
  4. I just started the process of enrolling. How do you like the program so far?
  5. I'm enrolling into paramedic to RN bridge program at Excelsior. I have an unrelated bachelors that I mostly tested out of (ACE) but still need abnormal psychology, micro, and A&P. Does anyone have experience with NMJC or EDUKAN? I'm familiar with straighterline but was informed that excelsior only allows 7 ACE credits. I would take these courses via CLEP or UEXCEL but I'd like to get actual credits/letter grades for the courses in the event I move onto a BSN program or decided to enroll in a traditional nursing program down the road If i'm not a fan of excelsiors program. The local colleges around here that offer accelerated BSN programs are very pricey and the community colleges are tough to get into. Any advice or help with the pre-requs would be great! Thank you
