  1. Sorry for the late update. Yes I did get in. I submitted two transcripts from different schools, the first transcript I had a 2.3 GPA and the second (more recent) transcript I had a 3.5 GPA. I explained in the passion into purpose essay why I had a terrible GPA at the first school. the chamberlain I applied for had a 2.75 GPA requirement for admission and I still got in
  2. Glad to hear! I have a few questions if you have time. What is your schedule like with in person class and then clinicals? Also, if you don't mind sharing, what was your HESI score? Do you know if I could take it online? I don't move to Florida until next month and I want to take it before then. Thank you for the quick reply, I've been trying to find more information on this college and not having much luck.
  3. Did you end up applying? I have a meeting with an admissions rep tomorrow to apply.
  4. When I first started college, I failed my first two terms and it ruined my GPA. Since then I have been trying to get it up as much as possible. It is now a 2.3. I have been studying for my HESI like crazy and hoping to do really well on it. I have a phone call with an advisor from Chamberlain tomorrow. It says online a 2.75 is required but students can still apply and submit more information to the committee to try and still get in. Do you think I have a chance? I'm so mad at myself for ruining my GPA when I was young.
  5. Looking for advice from people who got accepted or applied for the nursing program that starts in the fall (2020). How many points did you have? I saw that the interviews got cancelled due to covid. I’m finishing up my A&P courses to apply next year and looking for all the tips possible. Thanks in advance! ?
  6. Also, did you end up moving closer or did you just make the drive every day? How was the drive/traffic?
  7. Thank you so much for all the information! How was the TEAS? Any studying material you would recommend before taking it?
  8. Congrats! That’s so awesome ? how hard was the application process from start to finish? Are the classes Monday - Friday all day or do you kind of choose your own classes and times to go? I really want to apply, but I do live two hours away and I don’t think Sumner has any type of housing.
  9. Did you pass your NCLEX? Were you able to get hired quickly? If you don’t mind me asking, about how much did your student loan end up being and how long was the program? I’m sorry for all the questions! I want to apply just curious as I have a few options right now.
  10. No I never applied. I tried getting a hold of them because I had some questions about it and no one would call me back. I decided to just apply at community colleges, especially since Sumner is 50k+ for tuition. Good luck to you!!
  11. Hi. I’m looking into Sumner college in Portland Oregon. Specifically their RN program and I’m looking for any insight from people who have graduated from there! Would you recommend? Did you get a job easily? Were you able to get your BSN? I’m currently take pre-requisites and am one class short of applying and I really don’t want to waste a whole year. Thank you in advance!
