  1. I would look into certs that support your goals. I didn't get an interview the first time I applied either. I took an ECG course before the next app, answered the short-answer questions on the app a bit differently, and got an interview. I was offered (and accepted) a position last week. For whoever asked for interview advice, practice as much as you can. I made a doc with all the possible questions I could be asked, and wrote out my answers. It was 31 pages long. Excessive? Maybe! But it worked for me. I practiced saying my stories in different ways over and over. Knowing my stories thoroughly allowed me to stay focused during the interview and honestly be myself. I think when you can truly show them your personality, it helps them decide if you're a fit for their unit. I hope this helps someone for the next round! I'd also suggest joining the FB group RNInterview Tools for advice. You can also DM people easier on facebook so you can really get the advice you're looking for. Best of luck for everyone reapplying! I hear they're hiring 50 next round.
  2. Use the link! I searched too and it didn't come up, but the link worked
  3. Wed is the 26th! You prob would have figured that out, but just in case I'd hate for you to miss your interview ?
  4. Dang ok ? well it's gonna be a stressful week! Thanks for the info, and hope your interview went well!
  5. Last time I think people heard back about second interviews the last day of panels for the unit. I'm interviewing for Maternity tomorrow, so hopefully we'll hear back tomorrow night!!
  6. I think it depends on the unit. Last time for L&D, I heard they interviewed 40, 8 got second interviews, and 4 were hired. Did you interview yet? Good luck if not and fingers crossed if so! The waiting part is rough...
  7. Anyone hear back from L&D yet, or know anything about the timeline for that unit? TIA ?
  8. I saw on facebook someone got an interview for NICU
  9. I heard from some managers at a hiring fair. BUT, I could have been mistaken.
  10. The group is called New Grad RN-Bay Area Ca. It's very helpful. I've heard that notifications for interviews will be mid Dec, and interviews will be in Jan. I've also heard from several sources that units hiring are NICU, Maternity, CVICU, PICU, Heme Onc, but not L&D or medsurg. Also for HappyRabbit, don't lose hope!!! My 45 year old friend made it into the last cohort. Best of luck to everyone!
  11. I applied L&D, which starts 1/27. Anyone else hear back? I figured they'd interview soon because of the earlier start date...
  12. A friend got a call for a 2nd interview for medical this past Tuesday. Best of luck to you all!
  13. Best of luck to you as well!
  14. Yup! It probably just means your app is now in the hands of the Nursing Education Senior Leadership team, i.e. the next step in the process
