  1. Hey guys. I am feeling really discouraged and I am hoping someone can offer me some advice that may have been on a similar path. I started taking prerequisites for nursing back 5 years ago. At the time, I was not mentally prepared and I had a 2 year old, and a full time job. I passed english 101 with a B and Psych with a C. I failed my math class. Semester 2, I registered to retake the math class, english 105, and psych 205. I stopped attending all classes suddenly. this reflects 3 Fs for that semester. Now, 5 years later, I am feeling overwhelmed. I registered to retake the math class, english 105, and the psych 205. My goal is to get all As in these 3 classes to help my GPA. Is this going to reflect poorly on me when applying to programs? I fear that retaking these classes (the math one 3 times) is going to make it very hard for me to get accepted into a program. Even though I graduated high school 10 years ago, my grades for high school are even worse with D's and F's. While I am prepared now, and I know that I can pass these classes and get good grades, I am afraid my past will hold me back. Any advice or suggestions?
