  1. Get on the phone and call the agencies. In the mean time our ADON hangs tight to cover. Down side is 7p-a nurses and CNAs tend to call out frequently or are ncns. Huge burden for our ADON who is salary. I have yet to see our DON help. I work 7p-a, agency RN. If I'm at home and feeling energetic I'll keep a close eye out for "Urgent need" texts. I've been at the same place for a year so I know what to expect. I don't respond to "Urgent need" texts for other facilities. No telling what you'll be getting into.
