thanx for all the replies. :-) i guess my question would have been more helpful if i had told you that i was in california. i forget different states different laws. i did have to fill out paperwork but the director hasn't sent it in yet he will be sending it the first week of jan. but i believe that is just for the appication for my l.v.n boards. he had said that we probably wont even test until feb. or march so i was in the mean time wanting to work and make money. i have an awsome husband who has supported and encouraged me through the last 3 years and 3 great little girls who have done the same now i think that i should get back into the work force and be able to contribute to the family. :-) i could go get a job as a wopper flopper but would rather work in the medical field so i don't forget all the stuff i learned before i take the nclex. thank you again for all the replies.

I just graduated on 12-20-05 and I had a question. Someone told me that I may be able to get some kind of temp. license with my director's help, so I can work while waiting to take the NCLEX exam. Is this true and how would I go about it if it is true? Thanx
