  1. Hi yall! Im from the 2020 cohort. Congrats to everyone who got in! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about the program. I am selling books for anyone who wants to get a head start on supply shopping.
  2. OMG! This is the best news I’ve gotten all week. You’re such a kind soul, I know me and many others have been hoping you get in. This is great!! Join the facebook group when you have a chance ? I cannot wait to meet you!
  3. Head up! More spots will surely open up once it comes time to pay. Tuition is insane for us out of state folk. Meanwhile start working on your app for next year... we are all rooting for you!! Accepting your spot isn’t binding and there’s still a lot of time between now and start time.
  4. I know there is at least one person who is questioning which school to attend on our Facebook group. It’s my first and only choice personally, it’s the only place I applied.
  5. Crossing my fingers for you!!!
  6. Sending you good vibes girl ?
  7. The admissions email said the first day of class is June 4, however I know there is an orientation before that. Tbd

  9. Join our Facebook group if you’re on Facebook! It was an email from Tracy, Followed by an automated email from the MyStatus page.
  10. I got in guys! I’m in shock! ETA, LeaDS
  11. There is a Facebook group already! UT Austin AEMSN 2020 https://www.facebook.com/groups/433850813952217/?ref=share
  12. I’m guessing no one has found out anything today?
  13. Was there an application section for financial aid? I don’t recall seeing one. Typically anything regarding finances occurs after an admissions decision is made.
  14. I just went back and looked and people received their acceptances as early as 1/18 (CNS). I didn’t see any for LeaDs but someone knew by 1/25 that they were waitlisted for LeaDs.
  15. How is everyone feeling knowing decisions are being made today? I’m so nervous personally! Just hoping for the best, really...
  16. I would expect to hear late next week, they will make decisions on Friday however I am sure there are systematic things they need to do before actually sending out approvals.
  17. I only had the option to upload a current/future course list... did this happen to anyone else? I didn’t have the option for transcripts.
  18. Does anyone know when they sent out decisions last year? I thought it was January... and it’s via email right?
  19. Back ground check done, interview done, and transcripts for the fall semester uploaded... anything else I’m missing? now the real wait begins...
  20. Alright, I just finished up my LeaDS interview! It went well, although we had some technical issues that cut into our time. They asked: - Why did I want to be a master's prepared nurse? - How does masters degree nursing fit into my goals? - How do I think the moral and ethical responsibilities of a masters prepared nurse differ from other levels of nursing? - Describe a time you had to ask for help and how you went about it - Describe a time you were met with a challenge, how you took charge of the situation and how it felt to be a leader in that situation. The professors were very kind and I know we will all be in great hands going into this program. It was described to me as a 60-hour a week commitment, which I was a little shocked by. I expected it to be at least equivalent to a full time job, but nothing in my research about this program has led me to think it would be that rigorous. So to whoever gets in - best of luck!
  21. Thank you! This is a great group of people we have here, I hope we all make it! I will definitely update everyone with how it goes ?
  22. I got one as well! My interview is next week. I’m sure they prefer to do background checks before they admit people to weed anyone out that may not actually qualify.
  23. I’m interviewing for LeaDS! ?
  24. I got my interview request today!! Don’t give up hope yet guys! I know I was starting to worry ? For anyone who has done their interviews - do you have any tips or words of wisdom to pass on?
