CSU Pueblo Nursing Spring 2020
She said 35 went on the waitlist and I'm in the last 10. So I guess that means I'm not getting in. No way over 30 students will decline admission or not finish pre reqs. ☹️

CSU Pueblo Nursing Spring 2020
Yes it seems she is the one in charge of the application process. I would think she'd have help for so many applications! I told everyone today too lol. *siiigh* More waiting.

CSU Pueblo Nursing Spring 2020
So I called the nursing dept because it seemed weird we hadn't heard anything at all yet. Peggy said she is behind on the applications due to being off for a week for a family emergency. She said it will be another few weeks before we hear anything. ??

I did my Patho course through PPCC online as well. My course had a textbook though. A huge expensive one. Lol I also live by Fort Carson.

Is nursing for me?
I'm a pre-nursing student. And I've been a Medical Assistant for 7 years. Haven't had a problem finding a job (and I'm a military spouse and move often). And the pay varies by state and clinic. But that might be an option for you. It's typically a 9 month program and you'd work in a medical office. You'd get to work around doctors and nurses and get exposed to different healthcare positions. And if you work for a big healthcare company, they'll pay for you to go school after your first year. Another option is CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant). More hospital and nursing home based but you'd get to see how inpatient care works and also be exposed to other healthcare positions you might be interested in. But being a CNA is very stressful and it seems you're already pretty stressed. Just take small steps into the healthcare field until you find something that fits for you. Best wishes! ?

CSU Pueblo Nursing Spring 2020
I took Patho last fall. Was hard but got an A. I just need to take Statistics this fall and I'll be done with all pre-reqs. I really don't want to take the TEAS, which is why I didn't apply to Pikes yet. I suck at Math. I want to see if I can get in CSU first. I'm not sure about interviews. I don't think they require them.

CSU Pueblo Nursing Spring 2020
Same! Every email notification I get, I get excited...then disappointed Lol. Are you applying to any other programs? If I don't get into this one I'm going to apply to the Pikes Peak Program.
