  1. First of all, I’m not in Seminole’s program- I’m in Valencia’s Evening Nursing Program. Secondly, I know what’s required of the nursing program, and thirdly it’s not about being in someone’s business- you’re going into a field that literally helps people (strangers) that are in NEED every single day, maybe you should be a little more compassionate and a little less, “I’m better than everyone else”. Sweetheart, you can experience it all, but if you don’t put it into practice what’s the point. I’ve seen a lot of GNs with your attitude and guess what- they end up being loners because, NO ONE wants to work with them. Not that it’s any of your business, but I bought my own home- cash- at 22, so I wouldn’t pay rent for this exact moment- I’m financially stable (no kids, happily married, and a great job)! I’m speaking for all the people you offended with your “nice post”. When I’m done with school I won’t be in debt and I won’t struggle to find an RN position because my manager knows my work ethic. Time management is EVERYTHING! YES, please don’t respond anymore. You’re full of malice and cruelty- we need positive vibes here.
  2. Everyone is different, and to do nursing you have to rely on others for help as well. Working in a hospital setting for over ten years there’s not one nurse that can do everything- you will need the help of others. Nursing is a team effort, you mean to tell me people sat there and watched them fail out of nursing instead of helping? I could never be that person. Nursing is hard and I know it will be difficult, but when you have a home and children to provide for its hard NOT to work. We all have to make sacrifices to be successful. Not everyone can live off of their parents, get financial aid or take out personal loans. I’m definitely one of those people who will be working (Night shift- 36hrs a week) and will be paying out of pocket for school. I’ve had many coworkers that worked two jobs, have kids, maintain a home, and still passed nursing school. So it’s very much doable. It’s all about time management- you can be a straight A student but it all depends on your time management skills.
  3. Join the FB group ?
  4. That’s awesome! Congratulations ?
  5. I messaged you on FB
  6. Oh, awesome!!!
  7. I took a screenshot! Lol ?
  8. It gives it to you. Nursing Traditional Daytime and the campus.
  9. I was talking to my friend that’s in the program and she says, get it done ASAP because they are known to deny certain documentations. I rather be all set, than to leave things hanging- a little OCD lol ? https://portal.castlebranch.com/VA21
  10. Did anyone do castlebranch yet? I heard it takes a while. I got mine.
  11. Did anyone get in for Evenings/Weekends?
  12. I know! Super weird!!! Wish you accepted nights lol I feel like I’ll be the only one there ? last time there were sooooo many people, and now not so much! My friend said there’s always a lot of people for fall not so much for spring and summer ??‍♀️
  13. Did anyone get accepted for Evenings/Weekends?
  14. I definitely will ? so happy you got in!!!
  15. I got accepted ? It’s been a long emotional wait for me. For those of you who got waitlisted, it’s not so bad.
  16. It’s bad for me, because I put Valencia’s email on my phone so every time I get a email I think it’s “that” email! ?
  17. Hopefully we hear something soon! The anticipation is killing me!!!!!!! ?
  18. Yea. I got both emails within 15 mins of each other, that I got waitlisted. But, the email doesn’t literally say “waitlisted”. It says, we will keep your application active until a seat becomes available- hence waitlisted.
  19. Usually, if you get accepted for nights, that doesn’t mean you’ll get accepted for days. The only way you get accepted to days if they offer you a seat for days. Which kind of sucks. That’s why they have those two times ?
  20. I live in Clermont, so I’ll be applying at Lake Tech.
  21. It’s on their website. https://valenciacollege.edu/academics/departments/health-sciences/compliance.php
  22. Oh, I’m definitely not going to continue to wait lol. I’ll apply for the LPN program, and it’s 11 months. Then bridge over, it will be the same timing. The nursing orientation is Friday 11/15, the daytime one is 9-11AM and the evening one is 2-4PM.
  23. I’m super anxious!!! I read other threads and they all claim to get responses around the ending of October. Does anyone have a plan B if they do not get in?
  24. Oh wow. So you applied for Summer and Fall 2019? But, got waitlisted. I believed you applied a little late for Summer. I had spoke to Kate Martin from the Health Science Department, and she did say they received more applications for Fall 2019 than any other semester.
