  1. @Hoangkay we have just finished our prep semester and are into our first nursing semester. The prep semester was challenging, but doable. The profs were all amazing, supportive, and made the material incredibly interesting. This semester we have started one day of clinical per week in a long term care setting. We stay with the other ASP students in our year for the first semester, but in September, we will be placed with the third year students in the regular stream. Let me know if you have any other questions!
  2. @jaiwuu no problem! Even before I started becoming interested in pursuing a career in nursing, I knew about my moms hatred for York nurses. Apparently it’s consistent among the other managers too. So I am definitely not going to York haha. I accepted Humber! I had originally accepted Mohawk/McMaster but I changed my mind ?
  3. @jaiwuu I will tell you something. My mom is a nurse manager at a hospital in the area and she does all the hiring for her unit. She tells me all the time that she won’t even interview grads from York. She says she has had such bad nurses that all were from York, so if she sees a resume from there, she throws it away. She loves the nurses from Humber though. (And I’m allowed to talk poorly about York because that’s where my first degree is from haha)
  4. @Kayla810 are you on the waitlist?
  5. @alexep10 thank you! ? they actually called me a few weeks ago to ask me if I was still interested in the program. When I told them that I was, they said they have moved to the waitlist and are just following up with people to see if they’re still interested. My GPA in the last two years was 3.8. I was a bit surprised when I didn’t get an offer right away because my GPA was so high, but I guess my high school marks were what held me back (93% in bio, 88% in chem, 84% in math and 91% in English)
  6. @Cancer89 @alexep10 I was also on the waitlist last year! They told me I was at the top as well and unfortunately nobody dropped out of the program. I was also on the waitlist this year and just received my offer of admission. I think they have gone to the waitlist now, so you might be getting an offer soon!
  7. @alexep10 I was on the waitlist as well and I got my offer on Thursday night (actually right after the Raptors won... all in all a good night lol). My deposit is due June 19th so I’ll pay it tomorrow. I accepted my offer yesterday. Fingers crossed for you! Have you received a call from Humber?
  8. @senorsarcasm nice to meet you! I’m taking all of the prep courses except for intro to psych. What are you taking? I made a Facebook group for our year if you’d like to join! It’s “Humber/UNB 2nd Entry Nursing Class of 2021” ?
  9. @Cancer89 what’s your name on Facebook? I’ll add you :) and what are the other two groups called?
  10. @Cancer89 Nice to meet you! I just made one, it's called "Humber/UNB Nursing 2nd Entry Class of 2021". Let me know if you have any troubles finding it!
  11. Hey everyone! I just accepted my offer to Humber/UNB's Second Entry Nursing program for September 2019. I would love to start a Facebook group so we can all get to know each other before the program starts! ?
  12. Yay!! Do you know if a facebook group has been made for our year? I was thinking of starting one if not ? I'm Emily by the way!
  13. Did anyone accept their offer to Humber's second entry nursing program starting in Fall 2019? I would love to get to know some of you before the program starts!
