Ivy Tech Spring 2020 Hopefuls
I had a 147.14/160 for Anderson, but I'm not sure what range of scores were accepted. Have you checked out Indiana Community College facebook page? Here is is! https://www.facebook.com/groups/ivytechnursing/?ref=share On here you can see many scores under the files tab. Several people have also added if they got in (and what round and choice) and the campus. You can get a lot of information from here!

I only took the TEAS test once and got an 88, but since Ivy Tech puts weights on things, it ended up being an 87 out of 100. I got A's in my classes, so I ended up applying with a 147. Truthfully, any score of a 130 or above seems really competitive. Some locations sound like they were more competitive than others, such as Lawrence, so it kind of depends on what location(s) you are applying to. Some people were posting that they were accepted Into the RN program at certain locations with a score around 116. What locations are you planning on applying to? I would say your 134.7 would be high enough to get you into the RN program at quite a few of the locations, but just keep in mind that the fall semester might have more applicants. If you are planning on applying to a more competitive location, and you don't mind driving to other locations, I would put more than one choice. I hope this helps!

Oh okay, those should be fine to use for practice! I got an 88, but with how Ivy Tech calculates it, it was an 87.12 (I think) that was recorded on my application. I understand with being nervous! I was too but once I got in there and sat down, I took a few seconds to just breathe, and I was fine after that.

Hey! That's exciting! What location(s) are you applying to? I applied to Anderson only for the ASN program. With the TEAS, have you taken any of the ATI practice tests? I know they cost, but they gave me an idea of how well I had studied each of the 4 sections. I was then able to review sections that I didn't do as well in. Also, the ATI practice tests are set up just like the actual test, including the on screen calculator.

Hi Courtney! Good luck to you too! The countdown is now on! I understand with having campuses so far away. Anderson is the closest to me that offers the program starting in the spring. Everywhere else is at least an hour away. Wow! Looks like to have a busy fall schedule! At least you won't have to worry about all those classes while being in nursing school! Good luck again!

Good to know! I wasn't sure how all this worked with financial aid. I feel like I'm in the dark trying to figure it out. It's like I'm learning little bits of the puzzle at a time and I'm trying to make sense of it. Unfortunately, I can only take out loans for financial aid and I've never done that before. Plus, I'm only taking online classes for this first semester, so I'm confused on if we will need a physical book or if it's an online book. I don't even know where to look to see what books are needed. I probably need to speak with an advisor. Lol ??♀️

Alex James is the teacher for math. I'm not too worried about it, but I am worried about the political science. I just kind of picked it real quick when I was meeting with an advisor. I'm actually thinking about changing it to something else, but I just didn't like my options. I'm wondering if anyone has taken PHIL 102 (Into to Ethics) class. I might try to take that instead. ??♀️

I'm taking Math 123 and POLS 101 (political science) this fall. I needed another 3 credit hour class to go with Math to be able to get financial aid and a technical certificate before next semester. I had too many credits transfer from Ball State and had an issue with maximum time frame.

Yeah, I figured each campus would do their own thing. All my email really said was that I was invited to Welcome Week and there will be food and games. (It's the food that I get excited about!) ? The email really didn't have much information, so I'm not even sure what Welcome Week is all about. Have you ever went to "IvyLife" under the "MyIvy" site? There might be some activities/events posted under your location.
