I accepted my admission to UM as well as requested to be in the cohort facebook group. Look forward to meeting you all.

USF, IU, and Northeastern...but other opportunities have arisen since waiting on a response from UM. I have 2 weeks to sort it out.

Finally received my acceptance letter but don't know if I am going to accept it...

@csrnurse yeah, I asked the same thing, but I got one real response and the rest generic, and it's now been four months since I applied and been placed on hold twice so holding on to it by a smidge of hope along with riding this wave of the application process. I looked at those programs as well in which they are pretty well rounded with clinical rotations.

@csrnurse that is true but you could still be in consideration for the whole time but receive a rejection letter around the beginning of October (going off previous UM ABSN threads). I applied to Northeastern in Boston, waiting on USF window to open, and other out of state schools.

I'm with ya @csrnurse on this one and I'm kind of looking past UM at this point. I stopped checking CaneLink and started to focus on other school applications.

I had the same thing so I would inquire about it asap and see what is up with it.

Well I got the first hold the day before my graduation so I did not pay any attention to that but I received on the second one in which I had contacted Ms. Castro in regards to it. All she said was I am a strong candidate and that was it when I spoke with her...other than that nothing.

March 20th but I was finishing my undergrad up at FSU, so I missed the first batch of admissions before my graduation. But during the last one they made a mistake on my application with my classes...

Well for those waiting on the admissions committee, next week should be the week where the release another decision.

I took A&P 1 and 2 already. It's Development across the lifespan (in progress), Chem, and Micro.

Although true but it's a psych out when you apply in March and haven't heard anything but those who applied later (nothing against those applicants) and got accepted kind of makes you second guess. I applied to UCF, FAU, Northeastern, USF, and Johns Hopkins for MSN.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted... ...I think my chances are slimming down as time continues

BS in Psych w/ a minor in Bio, 3.4 cumulative GPA with a 3.8 prerequisite GPA but with 3 classes remaining. Worked in a variety of healthcare positions and currently working in anesthesia. Lots of volunteer hours.

Give it time, mine said completed for a bit before I got the notification that it was being reviewed. The hard part is over, the worse part begins.

@Asd456 whichever email you receive notifications on you will be notified through there...or if you're like myself and others obsessively check Canelink. @Shem10 well thats good, at least it is not something technical. But you stated she said it was a competitive batch so now it's got me thinking...

I wanted to update you on the status of your Accelerated BSN application for Spring 2020. At this time, your application remains on hold but the admission committee will resume their review as soon as they are able. We very much appreciate your understanding during the review process. I will definitely be in touch with you once I receive any updates on your application status. Maybe a bit different but conveys the same message.

@Shem10 I would call, you get more answers than the email.

I just got off the phone with admissions, so they thought I failed one class and also had 4 prerequisites to finish. I called and told them that one of the classes I took, in which they overlooked and didn't mark as completed, so they acknowledged that class so that brought down the the prerequisites to 3. Also they misinterpreted a class and marked that down as failed, in which I am currently enrolled, in so she was able to rescind that grade to get me hopefully off "hold" status...that was my situation lol. I would call and ask for clarification because I was able to correct some issues.

Welp, just received my second notification that my application is still on hold...

@Mr.lucky1 I wouldn't stress it. The application process is a long one (refer to the earlier threads for insight) and stressful one but at least Miami gives you more time than most to apply which is a plus. Once it gets verified then everything will be in motion for ya.

So for me and NursingCas to get verified it roughly took about 2 weeks if you did it manually, if you spent the money for them to do it for you then it gets verified quicker (don't know why).

I know for me once everything got submitted initially and verified then thats when the process started. They are good at sending you emails on the progress of your application i.e. "Application is under review", then from the two in this thread that have been accepted usually two weeks...but it depends on when the admissions committee meets up. Hope this answers your question.
