  1. Hey, guys so I went there today, SHE said anyone under 3.64 is REJECTED. 3.42 was the GPA cutoff before but the more applications they processed they realized that they had to cut more people off which is why It took some time for people to receive their rejection letter. The waitlist is already full that it won't go down past 3.64 because there are numerous people around that GPA and its really like a slim, almost non-existent chance they'll have to pull someone who's been rejected to offer them a seat because their waitlist is still too long. She's never seen the minimum GPA this high before so she was pretty shocked too. She also mentioned that the gpa for winter has been increasing as well. It went from 3.2 to 3.4 so this winter is also a mystery as they don't know if it will increase or decrease. Try your hardest to just get your gpa as high as you can. Best of luck to everyone still in the fall 2019 race.
  2. 25-30 seats. It varies each year. It’s best to go in person because when I call, they usually reply back within 3 days (lol too long for me because I’m impatient). Try to go to *****, I went to **** last time and she didn’t give me the correct information. So I’ll try ***** today. I’ll let you know how it goes.
  3. Hey I went there today and she’s told me 3.42?!?! I don’t think she knew what she was talking about. From my understanding, right now the minimum gpa is so high that they are rejecting people. But if it drops then the people that were rejected will get offered a seat?
  4. What’s the point of updating the portal saying you are waitlisted till August 15? So misleading honestly. They shouldn’t have put anyone on the list until they finished everyone’s application. I’m going to see them on Monday as well.
  5. maybe you are mistaking me for michelle on the forum ? I have not gotten in yet. my gpa sits slighty under 3.5 which is why I am asking. I really then wouldn't be able to know what the issues is, if the gpa seems alright then i am guessing maybe one of the courses was invalid?!? Def call in and ask or better yet show up in person bc they take sooooo long to reply
  6. My friend had a 3.41*** just for correction. May I ask what your GPA is if it’s not too personal bc I’m not sure if I’ll get declined or not as well. Or even a range like is it lower than 3.40? They calculate 1english course, 1 statistics course, 2 human anatomy & physiology course and 1 art class. The rest of the 5 courses are just previous courses taken. Also, I see that you’re courses are from Athabasca college so the equivalence of grades differs as well too. The room for error is very small. But doesn’t kill to follow up tbh just so they can explain everything.
  7. No he isn’t on the list anymore. Are you a transfer student or degree holder?
  8. No he isn’t on the list anymore. Are you a transfer student or degree holder?
  9. Hey don’t be discouraged. Anything is possible. She actually said not many people have 3.7-3.8 so the waitlist isn’t too bad. Always Stay positive as you never know what can happen. Some summers it goes down to 3.2 some goes to 3.5 it’s completely different every year. And I do know a few of my friends that declined their offers bc they realized nursing wasn’t for them so the point is, be positive ??
  10. If you’re gpa is between 3.3-3.7 you are on the waitlist & from there on it’s literally the next seat is offered if someone declines their offer. Until August 15 people are kept on the waitlist so if by then you havent gotten in, they remove the list and that’s it. You’re out. I hope that eases your nerves of being on the list.
  11. my friend who has a 3.41 GPA just got put on the waitlist?!?!? is anyone else experiencing this, I have a higher GPA but I haven't received anything yet?!?!? I'm currently panicking
  12. I’m a u of c student as well and I’ve received nothing ?? I’m so nervous now
  13. Also she said it’s usually 25-30 students. So 5 extra seats doesn’t sound too bad.
  14. I called them today and they said for transfer they are setting the gpa in aabout a week and a half. So mid June transfer students are gonna know if they are waitlisted. How come you are already waitlisted??
