Hey does anyone have any trouble setting up the account with the OMNI MD portal for submitting our vaccines? I've tried setting it up twice and haven't gotten a link or anything.

@Autumn9285 They fixed it! it looks like it was a system error. I was able to pay the placement fee just now. After this, I guess they do the background check?

Does anyone know how we accept the offer? I've logged into the EP TECH application portal but I'm not sure where to accept the offer...

So I got an 85% overall score on my HESI but a 74% in grammar and 76% in math. ? I don't know if it's worth applying with those two low scores... I did, however, score 92% in Bio, 88% in Anatomy, 88% in Chemistry, 92% in Reading and 88% in Vocabulary... What do you guys think? Should I still apply for Spring 2020 or retake the HESI and apply for Fall 2020?

Hello! how many sections were you tested? Was it just Math, A&P, Biology, Chemistry, Vocab and Reading? I'm most nervous to be tested on chemistry since it's my worst subject :(

Anyways, I figured I should start a thread to see how many people are interested in applying right now!

Hello everyone! I'm applying for the Texas Tech accelerated nursing program in spring 2020. And I was wondering if anyone else was applying as well? My stats are: I have an overall 3.51 GPA and a 3.7 science GPA, and I am a trained phlebotomist with 200 clinical hours (hopefully this is a strong enough application). I have not taken the HESI, but I will take it next month, and I will be starting the application process on July 1st when it opens.

I've talked to both programs and for me personally, the Texas Tech program worked better for me. Because you can finish it in 16 months, there are fewer ranking courses (biology is not a ranking course, so if you did badly in it don't worry they won't look at it) and a minimum GPA of 2.5 is required (although I've heard a competitive GPA is a 3.5), and they also consider your extracurriculars or jobs/titles you have when applying. The only con I have to say about this program is that you have to take the HESI entrance exam while other nursing schools (like UTEP) take the TEAS, and the HESI is a bit harder than the TEAS. You need a score of 80% to be considered for the program. UTEP's nursing application process is a bit more intense, the competitive GPA is a 3.8, you need a 64 or higher on the TEAS, and they have different requirements than Texas tech (for instance, at Tech you take statistics at UTEP you need intro to business math). They also only care about grades they do not accept letters of recommendation, your extracurriculars or a personal statement like Texas Tech does. And once you get accepted, it's only into a stage they call Phase 2 you're not really in the program yet because you need to get good enough grades to get into Phase 3 which is the actual nursing program.
