Kind of a random question to post here, but is anyone from LAHC looking to share a 2bd apartment? I’m looking for a roommate and will be starting in the Spring.

I got in! Did anyone else get good news? For those who didn't, don't give up. I felt discouraged last time, and it all worked out.

They just posted that final letters by December 6th.

Lol! I got both— the scam email and the one from laccd. It was offering $350/week for pet sitting, and I was like ??? But it didn’t make sense that they randomly sent a job offer like that for so much money. I feel bad for the people who fell for it.

You aren't the only one who missed that email. Don't beat yourself up about it. Just pick yourself up and try again next time. They clearly saw something in you if you got an invite. Don't give up!

62% overall if it’s your first time. 62% in each category if you’re seeking remediation (meaning you didn’t pass the first time and are taking it a second). I think that’s the word they used. It’s in the PowerPoint on their website if that helps.

I took them previously, too. They told me to send an email stating that I took it so they can pull my results. I should also mention that I took it somewhere else (not at LAHC) and mentioned the date I originally sent them.

Nursing school is going to be difficult regardless of where you go. My friends at LAHC have class/clinicals at 0630. Factor in your drive to wherever school you choose and figure out how much time you’ll actually have left to study after class and still get some sleep. As someone who commutes, I can tell you that it’s exhausting to spend so much time in traffic only to have to study when you get home. At the end of the day, go with what your heart says. Believe in yourself and work hard. You got this!

Honestly, both are great schools. I’ve heard it’s extremely hard to get into the county program and that they transition you into a job afterward. You’re fortunate enough to have been accepted to two other schools. Why wait forever to hear back from LAHC?

They don't require that all courses be completed at the time you first submit your application? Never mind. I looked it up ?

No big deal. Just two years haha. Not a bad option, but let's hope it doesn't come to that for any of us ¨̮ @Aadams91 I know a really great nurse who applied for two years before finally getting accepted to LACC. I'm sure she's not the only one, though a lot of people went the expensive route just to get through it quickly.

Why are you shocked??? All of us earned this-- even some of those who weren't selected for the TEAS. I'm just thankful they're doing the 50/50 this time around, because otherwise so many deserving people get lost in the sea of applications.
