  1. I'm in my first semester of nursing school and I'm having trouble listening for the apical pulse. I'm able to find it on myself, but when I try to find it on my mother and grandma who are both bigger with larger breasts I have a hard time. I lift up their breasts, but its not as loud as when I hear it on myself. I also hear bowel sounds as well as the pulse when I do it on them, is this normal or does this mean I'm listening too far down/in the wrong place?
  2. I applied for regular entry and its been driving me crazy not knowing if I'll get in or not haha. What about you?
  3. Has anyone on the alternate list got any news about how many students from the list will be added to the program in the fall? Does any one have any idea when news will come out?
  4. I only have four more prereqs to take in order to apply to my local community college's nursing program in February. I have to take: developmental psychologymicrobiologypharmacologydrug dosage calculations Im sure on taking microbiology in the fall and possibly taking psychology in the summer, but I'm unsure if I should take pharmacology or drug dosage in the summer. I was thinking of taking two classes in the summer and two classes in the fall. My initial idea was to take whatever was harder from those two in the summer since I've heard the psychology professor I want is very easy in the summer. I really have to make this decision soon so any help would really be appreciated!
