This is all public information and easily searchable on Google, more-so than a private FB group. It's good to have the chatter here and there, even though this particular forum has been stagnant for awhile. I found more info from previous posts on here while I didn't have an facebook account. Honestly, just wanted to check in here since it'd been awhile... maybe there was someone on this forum, who wasn't already on FB, who might have some insight on what's going on with decision emails.

@Marjorie I feel ya on that. I completely deleted my FB over a year ago and it was nice and cleansing. But the decision to create a new FB for the sole purpose of communicating with possible peers in the program really just, haunts me haha my anxiety has kicked into high gear in the last few days just from what's been posted in the nursing FB group ? There have been a select few on FB who shared their HESI-related "denials" on Mon 3/16. Do you know anyone who got a "denial" email on Tue 3/17?

@Marjorie you may want to go ahead and create one for the sole purpose of communicating with your potential cohort and peers throughout the program. You'll get a quicker response on FB than on this forum.

@jess1022 So, from gathering information in FB groups, here's what the program typically looks like: Mondays are reserved for proctored testing, which means no class/lab/clinical on this day. Then, depending on which cohort you are assigned, your lecture (twice a week) will start at 8a, 10a, or 5:30p, and is roughly 2.5 hours long. Lab once a week (right after 1 of the 2 lectures each week) for 1.5 hours. Clinical is once every week, which can vary from 8-12hrs, I believe. It's hard to say what days will be lecture/lab and clinical, but typically it'll be Thursday or Friday as your "free" days. Also, they do offer 1 or 2 cohorts that have lecture/lab at nights and clinicals could be the weekend. Hope this helps!

@AttemptRN I could be wrong, but I think Statistics is usually a required BSN course, so if I'm correct on that, it's likely they'll take that over Precal.

@AttemptRN some people received a confirmation email after submitting the application, some didn't. I never got the confirmation email, but there was a confirmation prompt on my screen right after I submitted my application. It was the first semester using the online application system, bc before they were having everyone submit paper applications. I can't say what grades they'll take. I'm pretty sure they'll take your highest bc I can't imagine them taking the lowest grade or whatever grade they feel like taking lol. Contact the nursing department, they were surprisingly quick to respond to my email when I had a question.

@AttemptRN I'm sure you've already scheduled your exam, but just an FYI for anyone else that reads this, schedule your test date asap, bc it'll be hard to get a seat closer the the application deadline. I think if you're a second-degree seeking student, going the Associate's degree route seems like the better and cheaper option, especially if you have other priorities consuming life that prevent the accelerated program route. Practice questions was my saving grace. The HESI Pocket Prep was a good study tool, but there are a lot of free practice tests online too that you may also benefit you. Good luck in your studies! ?

@AttemptRN thanks, you too! I'm using the HESI admissions assessment review 4th edition, but haven't look at it in awhile. Those 3 are actually the ones I want to bring my score up in lol. The test itself isn't as hard as people say, I didn't dedicate a lot of time to study it and came out with a decent score. How are you preparing for the test?

@AttemptRN happy to help! Yep, I'm retaking the HESI on the 22nd to better my chances.

@AttemptRN you have to score at least 75% on those 4 sections to be considered for the program. On the ranking criteria, if you look at the 3rd table (at the bottom), that's where you can get those extra points if you score upwards of 80%. So, if you get 80%-89% in each section, you get an additional 3 points. If you score 90%-100% in each section, you get an additional 5 points. I think they take the highest score for pre-reqs, but I know for a fact that if you submit CLEP tests they'll considered it as a B grade.

Hi @AttemptRN! If you take the HESI A2 at FSCJ, they'll require you to complete all sections except Physics, but FSCJ doesn't factor in the 3 sciences into their point system. Have you downloaded the Associate's Ranking Criteria on their website?

Hey! I'll be applying for the Summer cohort with 142.67 points, but I plan on retaking the HESI this January to better my chances. Spring 2020 acceptance score was 134.5 and their waitlist score range was 134.5-133.67. For the HESI A2, find a good review book to review the sections. The one highly recommended is the HESI admissions assessment review 4th edition, which goes over all 9 subjects. Do a bunch of practice tests/questions in the week leading up to your exam date to get your mind in the flow. I'm actually in an FB group for the Summer 2020 cohort. Not much going on it as of right now, but it's been a great way to network with potential cohort peers.
