Well....biggest surprise of my life... I just found out I am pregnant... I have a 5-year-old and then a 11-month-old... so I will probably have to drop out of this program. Anyone know of anyone that had a baby in this program?

I'm thinking way ahead, and I'm hoping to just get in at this point, but it's going to be so fun meeting you all at graduation in 15 months! Isn't that crazy? We would potentially be graduating in 15 months if we get to start! That alone is motivation!

Yeah I bet they were seeing who all had wiggle room there and then plan accordingly. Seems like they want you though since they reached out to ask you that! @atxmitch

I applied to Abilene! I was also told they would take 20 for Abilene but it also depended on the faculty...? So I guess 20-30

I talked to Cindy on Monday asking if we would know anything by the 11th (yesterday) because yesterday was my last day to withdraw from the classes I'm taking.... she said, "Final decisions have not been made and most likely will not be made until after that date." So I am crossing my fingers for tomorrow! I'm taking two history courses, two government courses, and an art class online. Talk about dry! I need to know I'm admitted so I can gain motivation for these!

Ugh yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one over here checking my email CONSTANTLY. I want to know so badly! I'm holding onto hope that we will find out this week! They told us we'd know about interviews mid-August and we got that email August 2nd. So I'm crossing my fingers.

What did they say? I asked questions like what do your students struggle most with in the program, how do you make yourselves available for students and I also asked what most contributes to the student’s high NCLEX pass rate. So a lot of opinion type of questions.

I had mine onsite in Abilene today too! I was prepared for so many questions they may ask me and they asked me only like 7. So I was caught off guard when it ended but I also asked quite a few questions at the end so I think my entire interview was a little over 20 minutes. I think the current nursing students helped me a ton though. I feel like I know more-so what to expect! The best I can I guess. It's going to be so intense! I'm dying to know!

No I haven't. Is a background check a requirement? I'm pretty sure it is, but I don't remember. Do you have a spot for it in your status portal?

Hey! So I was always told they will reach out to you if they need anything or have any questions! Mine was an absolute mess! I had my letter of good standing, CNA, and enrollment proof sent like three months ago and they came back and said it was all missing. I found proof in my emails that I had sent them and it was all good! So they will reach out to you with any questions/clarifications they need and have.

Yes!! I hit a HUGE roadblock but thank goodness everything is taken care of. I'm hoping we hear next week!

Yes! I submitted everything on the 2nd as well. It's driving me nuts lol. It also makes me so nervous to think that it's taking forever due to the high number of applicants..

I received a "Attention-Application is not complete" email yesterday... anyone else? I turned everything in July 2nd. I know they said they would reach out if anything was missing but I feel like it's taking SO long!! Last year's cohort already knew they had interviews by this time. I know I am being so impatient lol. Anyone else?

@stephmichelle I still have "awaiting" status on my TEAS and transcripts. I turned everything in July 2nd... I started my application on May 1st when it opened but held off to submit until I had some last pieces finished. Online it said it doesn't matter when you submit, and everyone will have the same chance no matter when you submitted, but i'm definitely wishing I had sent mine in way sooner!

My application still says "awaiting" in regards to my TEAS and transcripts. Is this the case for anyone else?

Yes. I was told my Sonia to rest assured as long as I turned everything in. She said it can be a tedious process and they go over everyone e’s application by hand. I know last year they got interview invites around the 27th.... I’m hoping we find out late next week but I figure it may be later since so many apps are “awaiting.”

So that's my exact issue.... I submitted everything last week and it still says my transcripts and TEAS scores are "awaiting." I'm freaking out! I talked to Cindy and she said to just wait and they will let me know if I need anything... I even checked my other schools for status of the transcripts and they said they sent... so I don't know what the deal is.

I talked to Cindy about it and she told me to just wait and they will ask for items if they need them... I'm afraid something is going to happen and I'll miss the deadline somehow. I just don't like how it still says "awaiting!" Anyone else have this same situation happen?
