FRCC Westminster Spring 2020 Admissions
FRCC needs to reopen Boulder county's nursing program. There are too many quality candidates that are getting turned away simply because there aren't enough spaces. I work with a guy that applied for a few years, until the advisers pretty much told him he needs to choose a different career. ? Two other girls I work with gave up before even applying and started working on different degrees. All three would have made awesome nurses, but because they didn't have 4.0s and super high HESI scores, they stood no chance. I'm grateful that I have competitive scores, but also disappointed that so many smart and competent people get left behind in this process. I wonder if they will be replacing the two points allocated to a second application, or just nixing them. I feel like they might add something, like points for doing the A&P/other sciences HESI tests. All this chatter is making me even more excited/nervous than I was before!

45.7 should hopefully be enough!! Fingers crossed!! I've pretty much maxed out the possible points, so I wouldn't know what to do if I got rejected again. ? They said it could take up to 45 days for this round of applications, so we should know by the end of October. Maybe I'll be seeing you this Spring! ?

If they took it down, I can almost guarantee they're going to be changing it for the next round of applications. I can't find my copy of it, but let's see if I can remember... 3 points for living in the service area GPA was worth 16 points (ap I, human growth and development, nutrition, microbiology, I believe were the only ones counted) You take your GPA just from these classes and multiply it by four. HESI was worth 16 points (raw score x .16) 3 points for finishing AP II with a C or higher 2 points for a prior application The last 10 points I think were allocated to having a CNA (or related) license and hands on experience. You get all the points if you have a medical license and 250+ hours of hands on. Hope that helps! If I find my copy I'll post it here.

FRCC Westminster Spring 2020 Admissions
Hello! This will be my second time applying to FRCC. Last semester the minimum score for acceptance was just over 45 points, I believe. I was at 44.5-ish, since I hadn't quite finished A&PII and it was my first application. Don't get discouraged if you're not accepted the first round. It's become so competitive that those two points for having applied once before are almost essential. When I spoke to an adviser after the last round of applications, she said that they may be doing away with the two points associated with a second application. If that happens, they'll probably put more weight on GPA or HESI. Just keep that in mind if you don't make it in this semester! ? Good luck guys! Emily
