@araew2129How long did it take you exactly? That was my first choice and what I was doing however I have a bill with that school I have to pay before I can even talk about coming back and the other community college close to me has requirements I don't meet not to mention Id be waiting about a year to even get into the program. That's my issue and why I considered going to hondros no waiting list or extra classes just what I need to finish in 2.5 years at a pricey cost but may be worth it I am not sure how I will balance going to school for god knows how long with community college, being a single mom and working with bills. I have a time limit before I basically get kicked out of home and I don't see how I'd be able to afford my own living expenses plus childcare for work and school for a unknown time.

@LovingLife123I am aware as many of my family members have done the same. However what I meant by "skip the extra stuff" is all the extra classes I'm going to have to take if I were to go to community college + wait list that are picky or timely. There's only two programs I could go to. One I owe a bill to and they basically aren't even trying to speak to me until I pay it off fully. I didn't even know I had the bill until I got a letter from collections last month. The other has program specifics I don't fit into I have a low gpa 2.1 to be exact and 2.6 is required. I was taking care of my sick mother for years my grades dropped drastically I barely learned much and didn't do well at all in high school after dealing with her death and no support from family at the time nor did I know how important my gpa would be later. As I said before it's a lot of factors I didn't mention and why I asked the way I did. Excuse my ignorance to the loan repayment program I just heard of it from my father and figured the way he explained it it was available to anyone who went to school for nursing. However I am not looking for a "quick and easy way" to become a nurse because nursing simply isn't that in the first place I am aware. I however don't want it to be longer or more costly than it has to be. Thanks.

My options and time is limited. I am expecting my first child in July (I don't have time or money to be in school for years and years as a future single mom). I want to start school this fall. I want to skip all of extra stuff Ill need to do with other schools not to mention it's not even that simple with my other options; won't even get into that. I want to attend Hondros college of nursing in total for my LPN and ADN will be about 50k so it will most likely all be loans taken out to pay for it. I've heard about the nursing loan repayment program but from what I've read and seen you have to be apart of a certain program or something basically the school you went to has to be "approved" by the repayment program. Do you know if this school would qualify or if the school even matters if so what are the requirements from the school exactly for example is it a certain accreditation needed etc?. My next question is I just read they do credit checks, will I not be accepted if I had a bill for one previous college class sent to collections and is now on my credit report? (even if I paid it off?) Besides that my credit is actually very good and in the good/excellent range.
