  1. Got my application in! Received an email saying interviews are on February 20th. Waiting for an invite. Fingers crossed. Anyone else...?
  2. Dear nursing applicants and current students, I started this post as a way to share our experiences. I am new to Missouri and it would be nice to meet other fellow candidates.
  3. @socalnurse3 I have not and I am sick about it.
  4. I wonder if they sent out denial letters yet.
  5. Congrats @vkrn514 and @Coffeelover1 that is so exciting!
  6. Applied to Torrance. Nothing yet. @AlyCastillo Did you get a letter mailed or emailed? @vkrn514 I was told you had to choose between Torrance or Compton, couldn't apply to both...interesting.
  7. Hello, I also took my Teas on 4/30. Applied to Torrance. No word yet. Thank you for starting this post. Really stressed waiting!
  8. Thank you for the support. I am so glad I joined in the conversation here. We really got to rally together. I felt the same way about having to take the TEAS at COC, they really did not give any last minute prep time, being that their notifications came out so close to the test date. Shine on my nurse tribe and be well, we can do this!
  9. I have heard that there is a collaboration of people trying to streamline the nursing school applications across the colleges. Some institutions are on board, but some are not, mostly the four year universities. It is ridiculous that each college has different qualifications you must meet in order to be eligible. I think COC has become so popular because they are the only college in the area that does not subscribe to a recency agreement. Most colleges will not take prerequisites that are more that five years old.
  10. I actually live between ECC and SMC! The commute out to COC is not too bad in the morning, however, traveling to the west-side is a nightmare from Santa Clarita. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get my education. I am a SM native and the city has become so hectic I did not even consider their program. As you said it IS a headache.
  11. Thank you for the encouragement! I was having a bittersweet moment.
  12. From what I understand not all schools use a cut score, ECC being that exception. At COC; first the scholastic eligibility check, then Chancellor cut scores are determined, and after that the TEAS invitation is given. This does kind of blow my mind as going into this I thought ECC to be more competitive than COC. This is my first time applying for nursing school so this is all new to me.
  13. Drum roll please...I just got my status update. I was issued a low cut score offer, remediation plan. Complete two to three classes, of the schools choice, with in a year with a B or better. Yay for second chances. Good news is I have more time to study for the TEAS now instead of taking it this Friday, as ECC's is at the end of this month.
