for those of you who applied/accepted mcmasters course based NP (MSc-NP), why did you choose the MSc over having a Masters in Nursing? what did you decide and why?

It is all online except for 3 times a year you have to be in person (for like 3 days, 5 days etc.). There are problem based learning/smaller group meetings over zoom. I confirmed with a student who is in their first year there

interesting! do you know if the consortium mostly limits to primary care? as uoft is the only school thats announced a "single stream" rather than primary care focus? also, since its all online, would we not have skills labs? or is that training only provided during the short in-person residencies

does anyone know what the differences between UofT and the rest of the schools are? I am hearing they all have the same curriculum except UofT. What makes UofT different? Is it worth the price difference haha

About 4.5 years of nursing experience in a variety of settings (ER, clinical research, community OHAH), I have a MSc which I did prior to nursing. Nursing GPA was 3.94

having a hard time deciding as well. let me know if you get any info on this! don't know much about Mac but it seems York is more hands on training (in class every week) and the placements are about the same as UofT, cheapter, but UofT has the reputation of course (not sure if this matters grand scheme)

yes! fingers crossed. I've seen a couple people post about getting accepted. my status switched to "decision pending" about 2 weeks ago so im hoping they send out another round this week? hard to tell how they're doing the process haha
