Trying to narrow down the options, a lucky problem to have! If anyone has personal experiences or suggestions r/t BSW, Ascension and ST. D in Austin it would be greatly appreciated. Looking to join residency programs, but don't have my heart set on anything specific r/t the fact that I only work on a med surge floor and ony had 1 clinical during school thanks COVID. Curious about L&D, NICU, but happy to start Med surge, just want interesting and not nursing home vibes.

Hey everyone ! I am currently in the throws of nursing school set to finish my accelerated BSN in August 2021. I am planning to join my husband in Austin (he is doing travel nursing for the time being) around then. I am curious to know what the RANGE of new grad pay looks like in the Austin vicinity. Again, a RANGE. Somehow, as a new grad in Philly, my husband was offered $39/hr on a med surge floor in a 100bed (fairly small) hospital. I feel like thats pretttttty solid considering this was his FIRST position and do not want to get my hopes up, don't worry I havent LOL. Can anyone give an idea of the range of pay for a new grad? Does it vary floor to floor? I have been working as an extern since July since we have had NO clinicals in person so I am VERY thankful for the experiences I have had at work, hoping it plays in my favor slightly. Also looking to join a residency program and would love input on when you think it makes sense to start applying, which hospitals have good reputations etc, although honestly im not picky I have no clue what I want to do specifically, hence the second degree! This turned out to be longer than I thought! If you read this far thanks so much! If anyone wants to connect lmk! I make a mean sugar cookie. KW

This is what I was told from our program coordinator! Hope it is helpful! Good morning Kathryn Welcome to the program! Your program begins with the Fall 2 session this fall. Dates are 10/21/19 - 12/22/19. You will begin with NUFT 202 and NUFT 347. Semester 2 begins the week of 1/6/20. You will continue the course sequence as outlined and move through the 11 semesters in order. Here is a link to the 2019/2020 academic calendar on the website. This calendar begins with the Fall 1 semester. You are taking the 8-week classes and should follow that schedule beginning with Fall 2. https://www.holyfamily.edu/choosing-holy-family-u/academics/registrar/academic-calendar-2019-2020 We work on a semester schedule here. In the fall, you will only take 3 credits. Beginning with Spring 2020, you will have more than 6 credits per semester, including the summer semesters. Were you waitlisted for the Fall full time option? HEre is what happened with me Applied for fall full time in January, found out I was waitlisted last Wednesday, and was told about the fall part time. Asked Marie to switch me to Fall part time on thursday, decision made/accepted email came in on Monday.

I called lol. Just call and be blunt!

Does your status say decision made? Did you apply to the other fall option and not hear ? I had applied for the original fall section and found out i was waitlistd, then told them to shift my application to the 20 month since we could not have 2 applications in two diff programs.

Accepted into the 20month Fall option!!! I called the business office, total program is $36k Roughly

34k each semester!? Idk if thats 100% the website says The Second Degree Fast Track and Evening/Weekend Track tuition is $36,000 effective July 1, 2019. $576 a credit hour makes it about $70k?
