Well, looks like I have an update! just got my acceptance letter!!

Has anyone else heard anything recently about when they will send out more acceptances?

Does anyone know the odds of getting accepted after having an interview? Or do they chose to interview all applicants?

I received an email saying that they haven’t made it though all the files and they will continue reviewing over a few weeks.

Hi everyone, I have not seen a thread for the 2021 dual DNP/PHD program yet. Hope we can start some good conversation and bring more insight as things progress.

Not necessarily. Could mean they plan to accept you and this is just to get the ball rolling. At this point who knows though haha

Same here. And shortly after I received an email from UTMB about it.

Hey, I just talked to Elizabeth Botello asking if I can expect to hear anything prior to the spring application deadline. She said no it’s tomorrow (which I am aware of) and said they won’t have another meeting until next week. So, I guess that means don’t expect to hear anything this week.

Has anyone contacted them this week? Want to re-apply for spring but waiting to hear back before I do.

Right?! I find it incredibly annoying and ridiculous that they wouldn’t view all applicants prior to making final decisions.

Ah that’s great gives me some hope. I haven’t heard anything and submitted on the due date itself so hope I will get the same luck you had!

Congrats!!! Were you waitlisted prior or one of the people in limbo with no emails?

I think initial acceptances have gone out for people that fulfill the honors requirements. I was told that honors receive early acceptance. Then denials were sent out followed by waitlist. They are still currently reviewing the applicants that would normally get an interview. Then should send those acceptances after review since no longer interview. This is just my theory and I could very well be wrong. But the stats of people with no emails appear to have stronger GPAs and more healthcare experience than this who were waitlisted. Stay positive I think we still have a chance!

What are the stats of other people that haven’t received any emails? Here are mine: Overall GPA 3.8 science GPA 3.8 TEAS: 82 Assiociates degrees as a Vascular Sonographer and 3 years health care experience.

I haven’t either. I feel like if we were going to be denied or waitlisted they would have just done it already though.
