  1. I have not heard anything yet... Orientation is on the 24th. As of right now, I am proceeding as normal(physical CEU classes, etc...) until I am told otherwise. I do not know if I should contact the school or let them contact me. I figured the latter would have taken place by now. I am told by friends and family to let it be until they contact me, so that is what I am doing. The "UNKNOWN" is killing me.

So, I don't understand how you "forgot" and are you taking it every day? I FORGOT because it is not a medication that I take often or on a regular basis...I FORGOT because in my excitement of being accepted into the program , I wanted to get everything done as quick as possible. I understand that as an outsider looking in this seems suspect....However, do not be so quick to judge or generalize. If I was a regular user or an abuser, with something to hide....don't you think I would have gone to great lengths to conceal my habit? That is not the case here. It was an innocent lack of judgement and sadly one that may cost me. I came on here to get perspective from others whom may have faced similar situations.

  4. SORENSIC...Thank you for your advice, your honesty and your words of encouragement.
  5. and if I did apply at another school, would they not have access to this info?
  6. I have not formally started the program, so how bad can this impact me?
  7. No, there is no names on it. No, it was not from the internet. I live part time there.
  8. I recently was accepted to the 2019 Summer ADN program in Broward. Prior to my acceptance and my drug screening, I took a Xanax for anxiety and lack of sleep. I completely forgot that I took the pill and went and did my screening, which came back positive. The problem is that I got a prescription from a different country, which has no database or prescription number. I am pretty sure that I will lose my seat now. My concern is will this prevent me from re-applying to the program? Will it be on my record, therefore hindering my chances of getting into a nursing program at a different school? I have worked so hard for this, and to lose it over half of an anxiety pill makes me sick to my stomach.
