There is a list on the CSULB nursing website of approved schools/courses. I'm taking them online at Santa Barbara CC!

You don't need to take them prior to applying! Many people (me included) are taking them this summer/right now.

@chubbybunny Question about orientation! Might be a dumb question but here's a 40 minute lunch break, should we bring money for food/pack a lunch or is lunch provided?

Does anyone know if we have to bring anything to orientation? Like any paperwork and such? It doesn't mention anything in the email from what I can see.

No idea, I hadn't even thought of that haha. I'm thinking they'll give us more details closer to the date of orientation since we're still waiting to hear about the location of it!

@UnapologeticallyCurly I'm kinda torn about working too I currently work at an assisted living facility and absolutely love it and would hate to leave. My boss is willing to only schedule me 1-2 days a week which might be manageable, but if I were you I wouldn't work much more than that unless you absolutely have to!

I don't know anything about it but the website says all undergrad transfer students from community colleges have to take it either the summer before or the first semester. So I'm sure we'll get more info about it in the summer, maybe at the SOAR orientation!

Just popping in here to say that I'll be declining my admission offer because I've chosen to go with CSULB, so hopefully that opens up a spot for someone else! Good luck to everyone!!

Yeah I was waiting for the email from admissions telling us what to do but it wasn't coming soon enough lol so I just sent in my transcripts as soon as I could because I knew they would be asking for them eventually and I wanted to be sure they got them on time!

@subarualex Yeah we have to send official transcripts by the 15th and pay the $150 deposit by May 1. I just received an email today from admissions stating this, but luckily I already submitted my official transcripts last Thursday because someone on here mentioned they called admissions and they said to send them.

I'm leaning more towards trimester because I don't really want summers off, but honestly I feel like you can't go wrong with either because semester is still only 2.5 years which is shorter than many other schools I was considering (3 year programs). So I'll definitely go for trimester but won't be too upset if they place me in semester instead.

From what I understand and from reading past forums, second degree seekers always hear back later by a few weeks! So don't stress too much you guys, but I know that's easier said than done I just accepted my admission offer of MyCSULB and paid my enrollment deposit! Just gotta send the SON the signed acceptance letter and I'm set. Has anyone submitted official transcripts yet? It isn't on my To-Do List and I haven't received any emails from admissions. I was told on the phone a while back not to send them until requested, but I just wanna make sure they get there in time in case there is a deadline.

So it doesn't say in the email but should we accept our admission offer on MyCSULB and pay the deposit now?

I was wondering the same thing haha. I mean when they said that, they meant not to call the SON, I don't see any harm in calling admissions! I saw that @SummerOlaf mentioned they called admissions a couple pages back when we all first found out we were admitted.

Welp you scared me lol. But from what I understand, CSULB admissions needs the okay from the SON before they can deny or offer admission to anyone. So if it says admitted then that means the SON must have sent the list of all the students they will be accepting for Fall.

@helloivy So your to-do list has submitting official transcripts on it? My to-do list on MyCSULB is empty This is so confusing lol I really hope we get official notice soon.

Thanks! Did you already accept it? I want to but I'm still kinda wary since we haven't gotten any official notice of being accepted. I don't wanna pay the deposit and somehow it turns out I'm not in, you know? Although I've already told most of my family and friends that I'm in lol

Congrats on getting in! How were you able to activate your MyCSULB to accept the offer?

Has anyone received any emails or anything regarding admission? As excited as I am that the self-service says admitted, part of me doesn't wanna get too excited and celebrate until we receive an email or get some kind of notice that we are accepted.
