For wake tech, the CPR is a separate class. I believe is was like ... a day long class or so.

Indeed ... thanks to everyone for the info. Seems like yesterday we were like " ... when are they gonna send out the letters. The wait is killing me!!"

Guess it was recommended that alternates order at least one set for now so I've decided to go ahead an order a pair, royal blue, online from Jaanuu. Jaannu and Figs have some really comfortable scrubs and they're having a special for nurses week. If the bookstore does have some sort of emblem then I'll see if they can place it on those scrubs. If not, then I'll just get some Wake Tech scrubs ?

Hey guys, I know it stated in our letters that we would get added to the gateway group on BB ... but maybe it's just me, I can't seem to locate it when I log into BB. Any help?

For the TEAS I bought the ATI TEAS Secrets Study Guide. It included practice test which helped me brush up on some things. When I took it, I literally signed up like a few weeks before and I had a really bad headache. For the math, I don't recall it being too too difficult, I came out with a 100% on that part. Overall, knock out some practice test, that should help.

I tried out the Littman 3 for a little while. It was good but ended up getting the Littman Cardiology 4. A bit expensive but I can hear things better with it. Never tried a MDF stethoscope.

I assume we would be told that information during orientation ... other than that, I dont really know much ?

If you feel there's a mistake, give them a call tomorrow. From the other post I've read, it seems that have had issues with student's applications before.

Not really, my original plan was to get into Pitt CC's program last year ... but I forgot to turn in my ECU transcript ... and my slow self didn't apply to any other school. So needless to say that I've been waiting for a while to get into a program and wilson is my hometown with wake and pitt being the next two schools being close to me. Well, I would have applied to nash and wayne cc as well but I figured applying to theee school was enough because I have decent grades. What happend? Did you get a letter?

That's awesome. You're the only other person I know that's applied to Wilson CC.

It's all good ... now that I think about it, I do have some time to decide even though I've already paid for my background check. Guess I was too excited to wait LOL. Guess I'll keep waiting a bit longer to see what kind of response Wake sends me.

I got the letter on Friday ... and I did primarily want to get into Wake's program because of that high pass rate ... I guess I could wait a few more days just in case. If need be I guess I could back out of Wilson's program even though I do live in Wilson. The NCLEX pass rate at Wake tells me they are doing something a little better than other schools.

Everyone ... got my acceptance letter to Wilson CC's nursing program. With little time to accept and and the uncertainty of when Wake will send out letters and IF I got in, I will be accepting Wilson's offer. Good luck to you all and hang in there!!

Yeah, the general consensus and from what we've heard from the school so far is that the projected date for the letters to be sent out is towards the end of this month ... so maybe, the beginning of May it should be end our mailboxes.

How's everyone doing so far? As future nurses, I hope you "guys" are following along with what is currently going on with the nursing profession. With this being the Year of Nurse, I have definitely seen so many nurses step up and do what needs to be done. Sad to say though, that some nurses out there don't have the support that they should be getting. At first, I was a little discouraged by what I saw, read, and heard ... enough to second guess myself going into a nursing program ... I also see it as an opportunity to fix issues and hopefully, one day, I can be a leader in the nursing profession and help prevent things like this happening again.
