  1. From what I know, they have 1 cohort per semester and it’s a mixture of regular bsn and 2nd bsn. Also, they take around 60 students per cohort.
  2. No, mine doesn’t say pre-nursing. I have the term fall 2019 and my major is nursing.
  3. Thanks for the response. Maybe I’ll call them tomorrow. Or if we bother them enough, they’ll release the results. ?
  4. Same! I wished there was a date set for results. I wonder if anyone gave them a call this week. I don’t know why it’s taking FS so long to review and choose applicants.
  5. You have to pay to accept? Anyways, I don’t think it’s refundable for fees like that. You will have to choose which college you really want. But with your stats, you’ll get accepted anywhere.
  6. Yes, I totally agree that application fees are expensive. Hopefully we will hear back from Fresno State by next week.
  7. I don’t know why it’s taking Fresno State so long to send out acceptance letters. Last year it was sent out about May 7th. I’m assuming this year might be about the same time too. But are you able to say yes to those colleges and then say no later? I’m curious if that would work.
  8. Still waiting on final decision, but I have 4.0 on my prerequisites with overall GPA of 4.0 as well and a 77% on my teas. I don’t like my teas score, but didn’t have a chance to retake it and it meets minimum passing score so I wanted to give it a try before retaking it again. ? But hopefully we will start hearing from the nursing department sometime next week.
  9. I received it at 6pm, but I’m sure it was automated.
  10. Just received an email from admissions. My application is currently being forward to the nursing department for further review and it may take a few weeks to get a decision.
  11. Struggleforfuture— you have a very high chance of getting in with the 4.0. I doubt there will be a handful of students with 4.0 gpa. Don’t overthink. I was a current Fresno state student until I took 2 semesters off. Now I am not a student. I have friends and families that have gotten into both fall and spring semesters and fall is definitely more competitive but with a 4.0 gpa, your chance of getting in is extremely high. So dont worry too much. ?
  12. Struggleforfuture- I don’t know if the upper GEs are the same for all CSUs. I have only been to Fresno state since it’s local for me. I never bothered to look at other CSUs. But I’m sure you can google it online and find the requirements.
  13. English is also not my first language. I honestly did not like my teas score, but didn’t bother to retake it either. I didn’t think English was going to be so in-depth. I didn’t study for any other sections other than science because I haven’t taken my science classes at the time and figure the other three would be common sense. I crammed my studying into 3 days and took it. The other three sections I did quite well, but the English was bad! It brought down my overall score, but I still met the bare minimum so I applied anyways. I wished I had retook it and spent some time on it. But since I have a 4.0, I hope I can still get in. I have known people in the past that got in with bare-minimum teas score or not even passing scores but with 4.0 gpa. But again, supposedly their team of reviewers change their requirements here and there so we’ll see what happens. But Fresno state has always been gpa based except during the spring semester when it’s only open to Fresno state students. I heard gpa selected for spring goes as low as 3.5.
  14. Am I the only one feeling impatient and super anxious while waiting to hear the results? I didn’t apply to any other nursing program so if I don’t get in, I’ll try again next year. I’m not in a rush since I’ll be due in early August.
  15. According to a student that works for Fresno State’s nursing department, we should expect to hear results by end of April or beginning of May. The wait time is so long. It’s making me more nervous.
