Yeah, just remember they're averages. So there's some room to play with.

Hi Daybreak, thanks for joining us! The GPA is based on 4 classes: A&P1/2, microbiology, and Bio stats. Also, the essay is given to random professors who grade it. At least that is what I've heard.

Hi Elif! We should get an email with a test date/location 1 week from the deadline. The test should be around 3 weeks after that

Here's the latest from the Nursing forum that happened today: Cohort 60 will be the last one where an essay is included in the acceptance. Starting C61, the math/science GPA and TEAS will still remain, but the top 80 applicants(based on gpa/teas) will be brought in for a face-to-face interview, of which 50 will be selected. Also, TEAS will no longer be admin'd at National. Avg TEAS score that got in to C59 was 87.6%.

92.5% is a fantastic TEAS score. How is your writing? It takes a lot of work to get a better score than that. I've heard of people practicing the essay more since that can be a deal breaker.

Thanks, science, and reading got me the most. Out of the science, it was the scientific theory questions, not the A&P. Your TEAS is UP THERE, nice! My stats: GPA: 4.0 TEAS: 85.3 Looking at 74.12. The GPA consists of only the 4 math/science courses, right? A&P1, A&P2, Biomed Stats, and Micro. Looks like we are rowing in the same boat, now to wait for the essay. I think the essay is based on 4 points for every 1 out of 5 you receive. Theoretically, all we need is 3/5 on the essay and that puts us at 86 points for the floor. (we def need a sanity buffer lol)

I just finished the Teas, and I scored an overall 85.3%. I forgot what the average acceptance scores were when displayed during the nursing forum, but I hope mine is high enough!

Awesome, and thank you! I just submitted my application as well. I was reading throughout various forums for NU on this site about a rumored Interview. However, I believe the essay requirement hasn't changed since none of the info NU website is putting out has changed. Maybe they are confusing it with the CRNA program they are just starting up.

Hi jc, just saw this. Hopefully as time moves forward, more people jump on here. How is your application process coming along? I am taking the TEAS at SDSU tomorrow, and then playing the waiting game for the essay (or rumored interview).

Hello everyone! About the article: I have read so many forums where people are freaking out and think poorly of themselves based on their grades, situation, etc. Check it out for a mental confidence booster! Kaufman, S. B. (2011, December 8). Confidence Matters Just as Much as Ability. Retrieved from https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/beautiful-minds/201112/confidence-matters-just-much-ability My name is Dusty, and I'm starting this topic because I haven't seen any conversations started for Cohort 60 starting October 10, 2019. If I missed a thread already made, please let me know so I can hop over to that one. If not, then please introduce yourself so we can all get to know and help each other out! Look forward to meeting you all :)
