  1. Yes please! My number is 209-485-4385. I checked in on Wednesday and still no skills bag. Have you tried to login to the class on canvas yet?
  2. Oh yay! I wear a small/xsmall if that happens to be the size of your extra uniform top. Okay I went there today and they are out of the skills bags apparently and probably won’t have them until Wednesday or Thursday. So I’m going to call before I make that drive again. I just bought the red nursing shirt, I’ll wear my own black scrub pants and buy some white leather sneakers on amazon. ?
  3. I'm going to buy the skills bag (even though I think its a rip) to be compliant. So I will report back when I do. I'm sure its just a practice foley Cath, a crappy stethoscope, all the basics for us to practice skills with. Also, I'm not purchasing next semesters clinical uniform yet either. I remember in orientation Kathy saying they may be changing it so I'm holding off on that and just going to purchase the skills shirt.
  4. Hey, Hopefully you got the email from Kathy Braze, stating we will be starting on time just our lecture was moved to online and skills will be the same starting on June 1st. I was reviewing the packet they gave us at orientation and saw the price of the book bundle they wanted us to purchase. Have you heard from any prior students if these are worth purchasing? I would rather not spend 400-600 on recommended books if I don't have to. I will purchase the books for core classes but I feel like these are a little overpriced and probably not all necessary for success.
  5. Hello, I just wanted to create a thread for everyone accepted into the VN-RN program of 2020. I find these threads to be helpful in sharing information obtained or asking question if need be. Congratulations everyone!
  6. It starts with an S. Thank you so much I have been applying for so long I just hope this isn't an error or something. I have no email nor is there a button to accept your spot. I guess I will call tomorrow, good luck guys!
  7. Guys I got a selected already! Its early but I hope there is no errors. GO CHECK YOUR PORTAL!
  8. Ohh nooo. I had no idea the selection was that small for that number of applicants ?
  9. Out of curiosity, does any one know roughly how many VN students are accepted per application cycle?
  10. Thank you! No worries. I believe the first time I applied it didn’t say eligible until Tuesday of the week the lottery was taking place.
  11. Hello, This is my third time applying to FCC and I’m hoping to have better luck this year. I have an eligible for lottery status and I’m eagerly awaiting the lottery results. Good luck to you and thank you for creating this thread! ?
  12. Hello, I am also an VN and will be applying this application period. There is not necessarily a qualifying score, they just take the top scores of the eligible applicants. The only thing that is different for LVNs is that we are required to take Nurse259(the VN to RN transition couse) prior to applying. I hope this is helpful, good luck to you! ?
  13. Yes it was. I’m thinking it was a smaller pool of applicants so they were maybe able to do the lottery sooner than the traditional RN.
  14. Thanks for the reaffirmation ☺️
  15. Is any one else still a “pending” status? Im assuming this is due to my last name being towards the end of the alphabet. Last application period the status was posted a couple of days prior to the lottery date if I remember correctly. Im sure that was a much smaller applicant pool, but still being in pending status is making me a bit nervous. ? Also, for any one that is curious, those results were updated on Wednesday of the lottery selection week.
