How did you find out about books already?? I have not gotten anything about this and am just wondering.

Mine came from Jesse Brown! He emailed me twice in a row. He forgot to add all the attachments on the first email. I almost had a heart attack because I thought maybe they were trying to say oops you actually didn’t get in ?

It went to my regular email! That is the e-mail I put on my application

Thank you so much!! I looked over the requirements for immunizations and I didn’t see anything about the flu shot being due any time soon. It said the school would let us know when we need to go get it.

Ugh this is annoying lol. I don’t remember seeing anything about a flu shot being submitted at all. I hope this doesn’t affect me getting in or not

Do we need to have a flu shot approved in order to be accepted? I’m so lost on the flu shot part of this. I got the flu shot last week and I was going to upload it to castle branch today.

Yeah they sure don’t do interviews from what I read! So a week after the application was due, Jesse Brown called me and told me to apply for the waiver so I don’t have to retake the sciences classes I took so long ago. So I’m hoping that’s a good sign. Otherwise why would they tell me that if I didn’t have a good chance?

I read that you don’t have to show proof of insurance until before the program starts. I’m starting to get nervous that they won’t review them before the deadline. I’m calling tomorrow if they aren’t reviewed before the afternoon.

My last 3 documents are still pending too!!! It’s been 3 days. They are usually quicker than this. Also, I emailed el centro and the date on the castle branch package does not matter to them and won’t affect you not getting in.

1 week to go! I just retook the hesi this weekend to raise my score. I have 37 points. Is that good enough? How many points does everyone have? For Castle Branch; are those due dates critical on the account? Mine had a due date of last year but I think it’s been fixed now.

@CharityL how did you do? Do the quizzes and all the outlines and tables help? I am filling them all out and it’s so much information!

I’m asking this again so any new people can see this also because I need help! Is anyone taking HPRS 2201 (Patho) Or has taken this class with Drury? There is so much information for the first test and I want to see how people are preparing or have prepared for her tests. Thanks so much!

Has anyone taken patho at DCCCD? I’m taking it in summer for some more points. Has anyone taken the course taught by Drury or Rangel? If so, how was it?

I believe that is correct! Or maybe mid May? I’m just focusing on applying before the July 15th. I should have about 35-40 points depending on my hesi retake. What about you?

I feel like the grammar was way more difficult in the book than what was on the test! I will have to use the apps more

Hello!! You’re right. My A&P and Micro are all expired so I’m retaking them! I am in A&P 1 right now. Thanks for the suggestion. I have that app and noticed those questions were the most challenging so those should help me pass the next time!

Thank you so much! I barely missing the passing score so I hope I’ll pass the 2nd or 3rd time I take it lol. I’ll have to look into immunizations at my doctor. I was thinking Walmart would be the cheapest option. I haven’t been at DCCCD since 2013 so I couldn’t remember when registration opened up.

I’m applying next spring and made a post about a month ago but no one has responded in it yet so I’m wondering if I could get some questions answered since y’all have been through this process already. 1. What is the best a&p and vocab material for the hesi? I took the hesi last weekend and missed those sections by 2 questions. I took a&p like 8 years ago so I had to relearn the material in 3 weeks! I really want to pass the next time I take it. 2. How far out did you start getting your immunizations and where did you get them? They are pretty expensive! 3. Does anyone know when we can start registering for summer classes? I didn’t see them online yet and I want to get another class done before the application is due! Thanks in advance!
