  1. Hi everyone! I am taking 2 classes online at Aspen starting in September. This will finish my pre-requisites for the Nursing Core. I am hoping to start Nursing Core in November at the North Phoenix campus. I asked my adviser and she said they will accept 30 students into this cohort. Does anyone have experience with getting in to nursing core? I'm moving from Seattle to Phoenix for this so I really need to know if I have good chances of getting in! Thanks!
  2. You guys make me feel better in knowing I’m not the only one still stressing. I’ve started to accept the fact that I might not get into a nursing school this year, so I’ve been looking for a new MA job just to get some new and different experience under my belt. I definitely don’t want to be an MA forever!
  3. WOW I had to work three 12 hour shifts after the essay so now I'm finally able to check in on this forum again. Those shifts helped me keep my mind off the stress of the waiting game but now that I've got some free time this weekend the anxiety is back! I hope you all are well and taking time to take care of yourselves. Do what YOU need for your mind, body and soul! I'm thinking about a bubble bath and a nice glass of wine to celebrate my long week. I hope some of you pamper yourselves as well. You all deserve it!
  4. Hi guys! For the math portion I got 1.2, 200 and 4. Was I supposed to subtract 4 from 20? I’m just realizing that now ?
  5. Good luck, everyone!!
  6. Thats a good question, @akermc3. I have also been wondering if we're going to have to convert pounds to kilograms! 2.2lbs=1Kg and that decimal is going to throw me off!
  7. Another question! Does anyone know if all applicants that they are considering have to go through the essay process? Or are some immediately accepted? Thanks!
  8. So many questions running through my brain! Does anyone know if we get scratch paper? I’d like it available for the conversion questions and maybe it’d be a good idea to map out my essay briefly on scratch paper before writing a “final” draft.
  9. Who has applied to other schools? I also applied to SU and SPU but received my "thanks but no thanks" letter this week. I'm feeling a bit discouraged, but UW has always been my priority, anyway. I'm feeling a bit nervous for the proctored essay, but everyone has been so helpful with sharing information and resources, I feel good about the material I've been practicing. April seems so far away! I hope it goes by quickly for everyone so the anxiety levels aren't so high!
  10. Unfortunately, I also got the letter. Good luck to everyone else! You'll all do wonderfully!
  11. Hi everyone! I just wanted to say that I am in the same boat as many of you; my online status says "under review" and my submission date changed from the actual date that I submitted it! So weird! Unfortunately, I have not gotten an interview invite. I sent an email to the admissions team last night, hopefully someone will get back to me soon. If anyone else gets an update as to why some of us are still "under review" and haven't heard anything, please share! I know everyone is very anxiously waiting! Good luck too you all!
  12. Hello, everyone! I just found this thread after getting my invite to the proctored essay yesterday! I've found all of your responses extremely helpful and informative, and appreciate everyones updates. My name is Madeline and I have been working full time as a medical assistant for about 4 years now. I have worked at a primary care with providers specializing in gynecology and currently work at an urgent care for Valley Medical Center. I really enjoy the faster-paced environtment of urgent care, as well as the fun procedures I get to take part in daily! I have finished all of my pre-requisites, but I am lucky to learn from hands on experience every day at my job. I work with amazing MDs, DOs, PAs and ARNPs, who all have been extremely supportive of me continuing my education. I plan to complete a BSN degree and continue on to become an ARNP. Good luck to everyone! I am so happy to see all the support everyone has been giving each other on this thread. GO DAWGS!
